Hello fellow blogsters out there - today is Sylvie's theme for our little CCC gang, she asked us to use trees somewhere on our cards. I had an image in my folder that I was going to use with some gilding flakes but decided to use it with some Distress Inks and make it the focal point - I do love this blending technique ... loads and loads!!! My card is very simple but again, lovely and flat for posting!!
Ingredients
Digi - had this for a while but not sure where from
7" x 7" White Card blank - Anna Marie Designs
Dark Blue Cardstock - Core'dinations cardstock 'Roy G. Biv'
Vintage Music Embossalicious Folder - Crafter's Companion
Star of Wonder die - Memory Box Dies
Lindeman's Snowflake die - Memory Box Dies
Newcastle Snowflake die - Memory Box Dies
Bristol Snowflake die - Memory Box Dies
Giovanna Snowflake die - Poppystamps Dies
Snowflakes - Impression Obsession Dies
Merry Christmas Sentiment Stamp - Written Christmas Greetings, Stamps Away
Distress Inks
Stardust Stickles
Glitter card from stash
I have enjoyed using these trees as the main focal point so thank you Sylvie for choosing this theme for us.
Thank you for nipping over to my blog and checking out my card, I hope you like it. I am really grateful for any comments you may leave me especially the barking mad ones! I usually end up giggling loudly at them and then have to explain to the maestro what I'm cackling at.
I hope you have a lovely week next week and that the weather is gorgeous for you. I like it just a tad cooler than it has been and have had to put the fan on in my craft room - this is causing another problem ie Blossom, she lurves the fan and lies on my desk cooling off. I can't blame her, but I can't craft either! Anyway 'nuff of that waffle, I am off to do what I can while she is outside with her husband!
Take care all of you and enjoy whatever you are doing. It's our 45th Wedding Anniversary next week so I am having to sneakily make a card - this will no doubt embarrass him 'cos he will forget! I know this one is our Sapphire Anniversary so I am going to use mostly white with a hint of deep blue (if I can find some in my 'limited' stash (got to pop that in here just for Sue J and Christine H). I still wonder how he has put up with me for so long and I bet he wonders the very same thing - bless!!
Hugs to you all
Sue xxx
