JANUARY 2017 - BLOOBEL PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE - I MUST PROTEST!

Hi there this is a card I made using a Lisa Bloobel digi image, she has a group on FB and posted a challenge to the members.  This is a Progressive challenge and those who had the free image and then entered the challenge will get another image free to enter the next challenge and so on.  We had to put our own slogan on the little board she is holding - I coloured her with wild red hair and red eyes to match 'cos I knew my placard would say

"I'm NOT having a BAD HAIR DAY!!!"

This image did make me giggle, especially as her hair is very much like mine when I wake up in the morning - perfection! - just wish I dare have mine coloured red like hers - woo hoo!  I did her eyes to match her hair
because she's having a right royal rant!

Ingredients

Image - 'I Must Protest' from Lisa Bloobel Stamps on Etsy
7" x 7" White card blank - Anna Marie Designs
Spellbinders Dies - Matting Basics 'A' die
Papers - Colorbok 'Hopscotch' Signature Collection 12" x 12"

I hope you can pop over to her Etsy shop and check out the rest of her images, she has a brilliant imagination and there is something to suit everyone.

Thanks very much if you have popped over to my blog and left a comment, I love seeing what has been written.

Huge big hugs to you all, take care in this cold weather!

CHRISTMAS CARDS ALL YEAR ROUND - JANUARY - ADD SNOWFLAKES

Good afternoon everybody - I'm here to post my mid month reminder card for the CCAYR DT.   We had to 'Add Snowflakes' to our cards this time and, as you may know, I absolutely adore snow and snowflakes but we rarely get it where we are, and when we do it doesn't last long.  When I was a little girl snow seemed to last forever and we had snowmen, snowball fights, sledging etc but nowadays (and I'm talking about the area we live in) there's never enough to do any of these things - boooooooo!  Sorry to everyone out there who hates the stuff.

Ingredients

7" x 7" White card blank - Anna Marie Designs
Image - free download 'Cat doing a handstand with Tinsel' from a Practical Publications magazine
Crafters Companion Embossing Folder - 'Festive Frame'
First Edition - 'Jingle all the Way' 8" x 8" paper pad
Gold linen effect card - ancient stash
Memory Box Dies - Frostyville Wreath die
Die-namics Dies - 'Let it Snowflakes' set of dies
Flexmarkers
Wink of Stella pen - Gold

I am really pleased with the finished result of this one - had the idea in my head and followed it without deviating - believe me that is rare for me!!!

I hope you can join in - never too early to make next year's cards :o)   We have a prize bundle for the winner -

Please take card, keep warm and do a little crafting - we'd love to see your creations in our challenge.

Lots of big hugs to you

CRAFTY CALENDAR CHALLENGE - JANUARY - SOMETHING NEW

Hi there peeps, here's my first card for 2017 Crafty Calendar Challenge DT.  This month we were given the theme of 'Something New' - new baby, new home, New Year etc. etc.   Well, as you know, I like to do a bit of lateral (or odd) thinking and I need to make cards that I know I will send so I decided on 'using' something new ta da!  I've had a couple or three new dies recently and just loved this one from Creative Expressions called 'Cathedral Background', I also used another new one - Special Occasions Border Dies (ref B242) from Cheery Lynn.  (These are both new to me by the way, although they may have been around for a while).

The card underneath the oval die below is the same purple satin mirri as above.

Ingredients

8" x 5.75" White Card Blank - stash
Image - Bugaboo 'Marriage Secret'
Purple Satin Mirri Card - stash
Creative Expressions Dies - Sue Wilson - Cathedral Background die (NEW)
Spellbinders Dies - Mega Classic Scalloped Ovals LG die
Cheery Lynn Dies - Special Occasions Border dies B242 (NEW)
Crafts Too Dies - Oval Stitch Hole die
Flexmarkers/Copics
WOC - flowers and hydrangea petals
Black 'Happy Anniversary' Peel-Off sticker - ancient stash
Sentiment printed and foiled in purple on Minc machine

Distress Ink for card edges

I hope you are ready to do some crafting for 2017 - this is a lovely theme to start our challenges off!

We have two fabulous sponsors this month so that means two prizes!!!

Why not nip over to the Crafty Calendar Challenge blog to check out the work of my DT teamies.  They've made some great creations for you to look at.  Don't forget that there are prizes when we get to 1000 followers and they aren't to be sneezed at.

Hope you can join us.

Lots of love and big hugs to you all, take care and keep warm!!!
