OSAAT DT CARD - CHALLENGE NO 214 - ANYTHING GOES

Good afternoon peeps, I hope you are all well and enjoying this Spring Bank Holiday even if it is wet!

Not sure whether I have mentioned this before, but we are going to Scarborough next week to meet up with Sue J and her husband Paul (Olliesmam - and dad of course).  I'm just hoping that she's on her best behaviour and doesn't cause any more mayhem, they've only just cleared up after our last visit!!!  I will probably get a thick ear for that one - ooops!  ROFL

Anyway, this is my card for Challenge No 214 over on the One Stitch at a Time blog.  This week it's Anything Goes, so you can enter any of your creations.

I love this image and chose it for my teamie Jennie and myself after I had seen a card made by Christine Harrop, Christine's Cards and Crafts.  It's such a great image and can be made to look so different each time you use it.  I tried to make mine look as if it was framed by a porthole - ooh do any of you remember a song they used to play on the 'radio' on Sundays. something like 'With a song in my heart, heaven opened it's portals to me' well, I was a very very little girl (erm..) and I used to think it was 'heaven opened it's portholes to me'.

Sorry about that little waffle but it still makes me giggle even though I'm a few years older!

Ingredients
7" x 7" Kraft card blank - Anna Marie Designs
'In the Harbour' image - Delicious Doodles at Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
Coastal Border Background card - Kanban
'May your SUN etc' sentiment - TLC Creations blog
Scalloped Circle die - Tonic Layering Die set
Plain Circle die - Tonic Layering Die set
Stitched Circle die - Lil'inker Stitched Stax
Card Candi - Craftwork Cards
Flexmarkers
Gold Mirri card - stash
Gold cord - stash from a box of choccies!

I hope you enter the challenge, the prize, if you use a Stitchy Bear image, is the 7 digi stamps we used in Challenge 212.  Well worth it.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - apologies once again for the waffle.  I loved the comments on my last card - made me giggle because the first 'creation' really was a joke and I am sure some of the challenges took it as the card I was entering into their challenge!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and think of us in Scarborough next week - watch out for us on the news!

Lots of hugs to you all

I would like to enter my card into the following Challenges

CCC(11) - ZOE'S THEME - 1 BUTTON, 3 BRADS, 1 RIBBON + 1 OTHER EMBELLISHMENT

Good morning lovely friends and fellow blogsters, thank you for the brilliant comments on my last card .... and the ones about Blossom and her 'Feliway fix'!!!

Well peeps, the challenge at our CCC this fortnight is from Zoe and she has asked us to use 1 Button, 3 Brads, 1 Ribbon and 1 other embellishment on our cards.  Being from Planet Susie this is the first one I came up with
Only Joking!!!!!  This picture just flitted through my mind and tickled me so here it is 1 Button, 3 Brads, 1 Ribbon and 1 other embellishment, the other embellishment is the sequin star at the top of the tree I haven't counted the sentiment!

When I'd had my 5 minutes of frivolity, I thought I had better sort out the real card .....
I have some new Tonic dies in my collection and I wanted to try one out - it isn't exactly Christmassy but there are quite a few twiddly bits on it and I think it looks quite nice with the brown card showing through from underneath.  I am  not ashamed to say that I used another one of my LOTV toppers and my extra embellishment is quite a lot of Stardust glitter on her hat, coat and the snow.    If you can't find the button, I assure you it is there - take a look at the final pic and you can see it huuuuugely enlarged.  I managed to use only three brads by popping my sentiment on the top right hand corner over where the 4th brad should have been!!!!
Here is my button - well you didn't say whether it had to be any particular size Zoe - I have used a 4mm one from my box of dolls' house stuff and popped it on her handbag!  I'm not cheating honestly!

Ingredients
7" x 7" white card blank - Anna Marie Designs
Topper - LOTV 'Tis the Season' Set 13
Happy Christmas Sentiment - LOTV Clear Christmas stamps
Brown card - AC Textured Card Stock
Starry paper - Free with magazine
Square Cut Out die - Tonic 'Happy Birthday Sentiment' die set
Majestic Circles die - Spellbinders
Cosmic Shimmer Copper Bronze Lustre Emb. Powder
1 Button, 3 Brads, 1 Ribbon - from my own stash

I hadn't a clue what I was going to do when I first set out to do this one but I'm quite pleased with the result, it is nice and flat (for posting) so that is definitely a 'plus' for me.

Thank you so much for stopping by and having a look at my card...s  hope you like them - even the 'fun' one at the beginning of my post.  If you have had the time to leave a comment, thank you soooo much, I do appreciate them all.

I am sending a big hug to all of you who aren't well at the moment and hope you feel loads better soon.  Please take care of yourselves.

Hugs to you all

OSAAT DT CARD - CHALLENGE NO 212 - USE A DIGI

Good afternoon to you all and thank you so much for the lovely comments on my last card, I'm so glad you liked it.  I am just posting my DT card for the OSAAT Challenge No 212, the theme is 'Use a digi'.  This digi was chosen by my teamie Jennie and is by Alipeeps on the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet site (here).

Must admit, I had a teeny weeny panic when I saw this one - simply because it was just head and neck!!!  You know I am not good at colouring hair and I really worried, however I think the detail around my colouring takes the eye away from my bad bits - lol!!!  I made two very small slits in her shoulder area and then threaded some black tulle through to form a 'scarf' effect.  I threaded a small jump ring onto the tulle and added a tiny red heart just underneath.

Ingredients

7" x 7" White Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
Digi - 'Miss Peony' by Ali Peeps at Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
Basal Blush Pink Card - Create and Craft
Le Tres Chic 12" x 12" stack - DCWV
Oval Pierced Stax dies - Die-Namics Dies
Fern Trio dies - Creative Expressions Dies
Flexmarkers
Lace, tulle and gems - own stash
Flowers - WOC

I hope you like this one, I would love it if you entered Challenge no 212 over on OSAAT, all you need to do is make a card using a digi stamp.  If you use a digi from our Outlet you could win 7 digis that the team used in challenge no 210.  There is still a prize if you use a digi from another company so think on!!!

Thought I would let you know about the decorating versus Blossom saga - you might remember that the little madam had been 'vertical scratching' the walls on the staircase at night and would not stop downstairs when we went to bed,  although she was getting better ...... until Graham started decorating the dining room that is.  I was worried about the smell from the paint getting on her chest (aaaaahhh) so I/we agreed to leave the door open - for her safety mainly.  Oh, just before the decorating started in the dining room,  I had ordered two of those plug in room smelly things 'cos I thought they might help, fortunately they arrived that morning.

I plugged them in and hoped for the best. ..... well, touch wood, the scratching has stopped, she seems to like the wallpaper and colours we have chosen and I cannot thank Feliway enough for working their magic (albeit magic to the value of forty bloomin' quid!!!!!) ..... even if we have to put up with her walking around as if she has had a large dose of CAT VALIUM, has a goofy grin on her chops and has just put down a large spliff!!!  Oh and when she miaows she's a bit like a cross between Ozzie Osbourne and Mick Jagger talking.  She is sooooo laid back and I can now turn the smellies off during the day and put them on at night, so I think the £40 was well spent.

That's enough of Blossom's Blog for the time being - she's on the garden at the moment with her husband - probably telling him about her 'experiences' with the big pink elephant she saw on the landing!  I really must get a new dressing gown!!!!!  I was going to say 'get Graham' and then I thought about it - ROFL!!!

Lots of big hugs to you all, enjoy your Sunday afternoon and I hope you are all well - or getting there!

CCC(10) - KAREN B'S THEME - POINSETTIAS

Good afternoon peeps and blogsters and a special welcome to my new follower Desire - thank you so much for becoming the latest peep on Planet Susie - I hope you enjoy my blog.

Well folks this is a week earlier than normal but the dates were 'jiggled' so that we would finish our cards at the right time before Christmas.  I noticed this change when it was first made and then .... completely forgot about it, so I have had to do a really really quick card - I started this at 10.30am this morning and finished it at about 2.45pm - as you know this is just like greased lightning for me!!!  Very CAS and almost flat (the poinsettias will flatten down more for posting)  and there's not a coloured image in sight!  I also managed to use several snippets of card in here so I shall be visiting the playground - any volunteers to give me a push on the swings!!!

Thank goodness it wasn't like the last theme which, despite it being a brilliant challenge, took me ages to decide which colour to go with the black and white design.  I was working on that one for 5 days!!!

Ingredients

6" x 6" white card blank - Create and Craft
Merry Christmas - Cheery Lynn Dies
Poinsettias (three sizes) - Britannia Dies
Elegance Embossing Folder - Die'Sire Embossalicious
Snippet of gold/red Mirri card - stash
Snippets of plain red/green card - stash
Beads - stash

I am quite chuffed at the way it turned out, I don't make many CAS cards but have been pleased twice now - perhaps that's the way I shall have to go in future, the trouble is I love all me twiddly bits and me colouring in!!

I hope you are all having a good Bank Holiday weekend.  Poor Graham has just about finished off decorating the dining room (with a bit of my help .....) it took him longer than normal because he had to re-plaster the wall under the window.  He did this a while ago and then let it dry so upheaval has been reigning heavily in the Casa Passa!  These things happen when your house is about 125 years old I suppose.  Oh and his back is hurting him so I have sympathised and offered to rub it with a blue brick and linament.

I shall be off now, it's nearly tea-time and afterwards I have to prepare another post to show my first card for the Crafty Calendar Challenge blog.  Sooooo excited!!

Please take care and I am sending virtual cuddles to all my friends who are poorly at the moment.  Get well soon.

Lots of hugs and May the Fourth be with you!!!  (Sorreeee)
