OSAAT DT CARD - CHALLENGE NO 182 - USE A DIGI

Good morning favourite peeps and blogsters, I have just had to re-do the beginning of my original post 'cos I have made a huuuuge boo-boo.  You know those senior moments that we get from time to time or in my case all the time - lol - well I have just had another one.  This is my card for the DT of OSAAT (One Stitch at a Time) Challenge no 182.  I had posted it on their Admin site and had scheduled it to arrive on my blog last Sunday, I was commenting on the challenge entries and suddenly had one of those light-bulb moments!!  Why was my card not on my blog???  After several minutes of head scratching and pondering ... it came to me - duh!  - I had scheduled it to arrive NEXT month.  Boy oh boy this new fur baby has such a lot to answer for - well, I have to blame someone!!  Now back to my original post!

This is my next card for the OSAAT DT.  I received the digi to play with and came up with this card really quickly.  I knew that it only needed a sentiment in the middle because the corner is really detailed.  I faffed about moved the image in Paint Shop Pro - you know what I mean, did the mirror image thing, turned it upside down etc - just so that each corner was just so.  I could have just printed four off but my OCD took over and I couldn't do it!  OCD is a strange thing but fortunately mine is quite minimal compared to some - I am fortunate!  Sorry I am orf on one - back to the card.  I coloured all the corners with Copics/Promarkers and then 'deecouparged' the poinsettia flowers to give some depth to the finished card.  The construction was just a matter of matting and layering really,  I printed the sentiment from my laptop after I found this lovely font.  It wasn't really lost, I just hadn't noticed it before!!! lol.

 Ingredients
7" x 7"  Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
That Special Touch Mask - Fretwork
Spellbinders - Gold Circles One
White Coconut card
Burgundy Card from stash (oooold scrap)
Copics/Promarkers
Stardust Stickles
Glossy Accents
Gems from my stash

I 'fussy' cut the corners out and I think these took most of the time to be honest!  Blimey talk about nooks and crannies, I found every one!  I am quite pleased with the overall result though and that is something for me!

Please enter the challenge if you can, the theme is 'Anything Goes', as usual, and the prize (if you use a Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet image) is all of the digis that the DT used in Challenge No 180!!!  It is definitely worth a try 'cos there is a prize even if you don't use an SBO digi - ta da!!

I would love you to leave a comment if you have the time, but I am also chuffed if you only have time to have a squiz at my blog.

Big hugs to you all out there and please try and keep well.

CCC - SUE J'S CHALLENGE - SNOWMAN!!

Hello there gorgeous peeps out there, just want to thank you first of all for all the lovely comments on my last card - thank goodness the mojo came back just when I needed her!  Tenerifee isn't as far as I thought - lol!

Anyway, because I have been doing loads of things around here, I forgot almost forgot to do my CCC card for the theme chosen by my matey Sue J (aka Ollie's Mam).  Would you believe this one has been coloured, designed, piccied since 11 am today.  This really is the fastest card ever - for moi!!!  I do lurve these papers from LOTV, positively yummy!  I can see me using them for lots more Chrimbly cards.

I do apologise for doing this post very quickly but, our new fur baby, Blossom (yes she has moved in as of last Monday) has a 'thing' about my desk and insists on sitting at the front of it between me and the laptop.   I can only 'trype' when she goes out.  Then when she comes back in we have to have 5 mins of meet and greet where she rubs her chops on all the corners of my desk etc etc while purring like a traction engine, to make them 'hers' again.  She then has to sit, legs akimbo, while she washes every nook and cranny she has, once this is done she happily goes to sleep until next food/toilet break!  She is gorgeous though - lol!

Ooops she is back again so I will have to cease until she wanders orf!    Thank you so much for stopping by and for any comments you have made.  I am soooooo grateful to you.

I will be back to add a few more comments (and the ingredients) plus enter a challenge or two.

Big hugs to you all

OH MOJO OH MOJO WHERE ART THOU???

Bonjour peeps and blogsters out there!!!  Blimey the old Mojo has been wandering in the rain (stop dancing that bloomin' raindance - you know who you are, lol!!) and the Mojo Fairy has been on her hols!  Mind you there is probably a good reason for it!  I have been asked, by a friend I used to work with, to make birthday cards for his twins - 18 years old - Adam is into Mechanical Engineering and Jemma is into Bio Chemistry - thus out flew the Mojo Fairy on a cheap break to Tenerife!

Anyway you lovely peeps, I have finished the first one!  Oh and by the way, thank you so much for stopping by and checking me out.  I have almost 100 followers now and I am sooooooo chuffed - I would do another happy dance but Graham shouted at me last time (you know when that was Di) because he thought the floor would give way!

I looked through my stamps and digis but couldn't find one suitable so I checked out th'internet and found this one on some colouring pages.  I liked the fact that it looked steampunky so I coloured it with my Promarkers in greys and browns.  I used two little splashes of red,  one on the screwdriver and the other one on the gauge just below the steam.  I wanted to use some coggy things, but I know that this one is going to be posted so I needed to keep it as light as possible.  I found some Eco-Friendly die cut cogs and painted them with Mulch Eco-Friendly Acrylic paint plus a dab of Black E-F paint.   Then I took a La Blanche script stamp and stamped on them in Alabaster Colorbox Chalk Ink.  Must admit I am totally chuffed with the result.  I used the same stamp on the ticket to add a little bit of interest.  I wanted to put a sentiment on the front but it need to fit in so I printed off a dictionary page (found on th'internet) and then typed the HAPPY BIRTHDAY over the printed page.  I covered a piece of the Eco-Friendly die cut board with the printed sentiment - again I am quite chuffed with this.  I have even decorated the inside 'cos it is speshul!!!!! LOL.

Thank you so much if you have managed to leave me a comment, albeit a cheeky one!  I do love reading your warbles soooo much.

Anyway I will be off now and leave you to whatever floats your boat - I guess, if you are an early bird, I will still be in me pit however Deana (our lovely hairdresser) is coming to spruce us up this afternoon, so I can't fester in here for too long!  Shucks!

OSAAT DT CARD - CHALLENGE NO 180 - USE A DIGI

Good afternoon fellow blogsters and a warm welcome to my new followers - you are all stars!  I do hope you enjoy checking out my little planet, it really is a tad weird in my world but I just lurve it!

This is the latest card I have made as a DT member on the OSAAT Challenge blog.  This week's challenge is "Anything Goes" so I would really love to see you join in with us.  The other DT members have their cards on the blog and you should check them out they are sooo talented.  The prize is the full set of stamps that we used in Challenge 178 provided, of course, that you use an image from Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet.  There is also a prize waiting for you even if you don't use one of their images - so get crafting!!! lol!

She is a tad naughty methinks and as soon as I saw her I thought, Oooerr Matron!!!   The image is called 'The Key' by Stitchy Stamps and I have used mainly black, white and red.

The maestro took this pic from another angle like my last card and I liked it so much I thought I would post it for you.  I haven't done the inside just yet, I will do it if, or when, it gets used.

I thought I would put 'The key to my .....?' on here and let you put in the answer!  I have several ideas myself so ... answers on a Postcard please!!!! LOL.  Don't worry - I am only joking!

Ingredients

8" x 8" Card Blank
Digi by Stitchy Stamps - "The Key"
Papers and card from Create and Craft in my stash
Spellbinders Die D-Lites - Fantastic Flourish Two
Spellbinders - Grand Square
Spellbinders - Ironwork Accents
Sizzix - 3D Rose die
Charms bought from Ebay

If you are reading this, thank you so much for popping by, and if you have again managed to leave a comment I really am thankful.  I am going to have a bash at sorting out my wardrobes next 'cos I am having trouble getting any more clothes in there - you see I still have the clothes I used to wear for work, as well as the ones I wore when I was 20 ROFL!!  Mind you these will be vintage by now!

Big hugs to you all out there - I do hope you are all keeping safe and well.

CCC - CLARE'S CHALLENGE - LET'S GO MONOCHROME!

Hello there peeps I do hope you are all well and enjoying the weather - our bedroom window has been fully open, slightly open, fully open until I am going bloomin' dizzy!  I just wish it would stop faffing about and be either cool or warm!   I lurve Autumn and look forward to all the colours of the leaves and hedgerows - so I can't wait.  Mind you I am a tad fed up with all the leaves that are falling off the trees in our garden.  Well - this is me and I am having a little whinge!    It doesn't help that I am tryping this on my gorgeous purple laptop with furry keys - Blossom comes in to see us for a little while every day now, but, whereas Milo (our neighbours cat) is a man's cat (yes - I have just said this in a deep voice inside my head) Blossom is a lady's cat - ie she doesn't leave me alone and insists on sitting, laying, washing, sleeping on my desk sooooo I have white fur all over the place!  However, I am not whingeing about this 'cos she is a cutie.  The trouble is she is getting more and more comfy and I feel that there may have to be a discussion very soon (with 'the maestro') regarding her living quarters/abode!!!  You know where this is leading don't you.  What you don't know is that this is the fifth cat who has decided we are a good option to foster!  She would make the third one that has actually decided that we make good servants/housekeepers!

Ooops another load of wafflings, so without further ado, this is my card for the Christmas Card Club and Clare has chosen the theme 'Let's go Monochrome', I was going to put this on my blog this morning - but forgot.  It isn't due at the CCC until tomorrow but I really don't like posting 2 on the same day and I haven't a clue why (tis a tad airy fairy on Planet Susie! lol).  I will shut up now - honest!

There is a little story to go with the finishing of this card - it sat on my desk for three days and I just couldn't think what to do in the bottom right hand corner.  There was something missing so I was stumped.  Then .... the Postman arrived and popped a package through the letterbox and that was it!!!!   I had won the prize from Pixies Crafty Snippets Playground which consisted of a set of superb 'leaf' dies from Dee's Distinctively and a set of Christmas 'greeting' stamps.  The holly leaves among the die set were just perfect for the corner of my card and within 10 minutes I had cut them out, stuck them on and given it to 'the maestro' for pics.   Thank you so much for sending them so quickly Di.  A brilliant prize!!!!!

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT!

Hello there to all my  lovely bloggers and crafterteers out there.  Oh and another special hello to my new follower (and fellow lover of all things PURPLE) Kathy K.  I thought I would post a picture of some pins I made recently - the first ones I have ever made in fact.

When I knew I was going to meet up with Sue J and Maureen, I wanted to take a present for them that was going to be lightweight and portable - especially as I knew Maureen would be flying back to Canada with heavier suitcases than she arrived with - ROFL! - you just can't keep this lovely lady away from the Craft Shops!!!

Well, here they are for you to check over, Sue J said she wouldn't be able to use hers and would just look at them - we are both out of the same peapod - lol - 'cos this is exactly what I would do.  When Maureen went back to her relatives' home they all liked them and were wearing them as lapel pins!!  Good idea methinks!

The two sets were identical and I only made one gold coloured one for each set - not sure why!!
I didn't want to bore you so I only did one close up - but this is my favourite bead because of the swirly effect in the glass.
I also made two little boxes for them to be kept in.

I like these pins but have yet to make any for myself - that's me though!  I do feel another play with my beads and jewellery findings creeping up on me!

That's all for now, I will catch up with you soon.

Big hugs to you all.

CUPCAKE FOR MY FRIEND AND OUR LITTLE BLOSSOM!!!

Hello there all you blogsters and crafty peeps - I have just made this card for a special friend.  The papers and ribbon were given to me by that lovely lady Maureen (aka Scrappymo) from Canada.  I was really pleased with my prezzy and couldn't wait to play with them.   I tried my hand at blobs - like my buddy Sue J (aka Olliesmam) does, however I am just an apprentice to the maestro!!!  I also did a bit of paper piecing on the cupcake and chose striped paper from the 'Tea Party' paper pack, I think I would have been better using some dotty paper though, but never mind.

The light changed in the garden as Graham was taking these pics and the second view is a more natural likeness of the colours I used.
As mentioned above, Graham decided to take these pictures in the garden so our gorgeous little Blossom (she lives in the garden as she doesn't seem to have an owner) thought she would check things out!  She is mainly white with blobs of ginger although she looks mucky here!
Another pic of Blossom taken just outside the greenhouse underneath the water butt - she actually lives in the greenhouse although, if she is still around come the winter, we will make alterations to the shed for her to live in - in style.  I do believe she has come from a flat not far from us, where a lady is said to have several cats - I have tried knocking on her door but to no avail.  She really was very skinny when she first came into the garden with her friend Donny (Don Juan 'cos of his night-time activities!!) and despite ignoring her for several days, she didn't go away so we fed her - she is an absolute beauty now.

Ingredients

6" x 6" card blank
Papers from Dovecraft "Tea Party"
(given to me by the lovely Maureen on our recent visit to Scarborough)
Ribbon from Dovecraft
(also given to me by Maureen)
Image from colouring pages on th'internet
Promarkers
Peel Off strips from my stash
Pearls - free gift with a magazine yonks ago

A big PS!!!  - Graham has been watering the garden whilst I have been 'tryping' and I have just turned round to nip to (you know where) and guess what .... he left the back door open and I now have Blossom curled up on one of my cushions (where I had popped it onto the floor) fast asleep.  This is the first time she has been allowed in for more than a minute ..... is this a slippery slope?????  I have promised myself no more pussycats ....... oh poop!

I do hope you like my little card, this is winging it's way to one of my special friends - I am sure she will be telling you that she has received it when it arrives on her doormat!!

Big hugs and lots of love to you all
