AND FINALLY ............................ LOL!

Well here I am totally stuffed after Christmas and rarin' to go - as if!  I think I may have just pulled a muscle in me thumb!  This really really really is my last card for this year - because it is the Christmas card I made for my hubby.  He thinks it looks like me 40 years ago - bless him he'd had a sherry whilst we were making mince pies and he was wearing his sherry goggles - obviously.  He is a love though.  Needless to say he is also totally puddled if he thinks this looks anything like me when I was younger.

All I can say is that the hair was right then but my eyes are hazel not green!  LOL.  I just love this image from Kenny K - I knew that it was for my hubby and the rest of the card just came to me soooo easily, I used loads of dies and plenty of Glamour Dust.

Before I finish, can I just say a very quick thank you to all of you who stopped by and commented on Katie's Christmas card to us, it really was kind of you and her mum was going to check them out.   I am sure she will be pleased as well.

Well, that's all from me for now - just time to wish you an excellent New Year with lots of love and hugs to all my blog friends.  I am a normally cheerful and giggly person (no way, I hear you  cry!) but your comments and friendship and the extra little bits of banter, have really made my year.  Here is to a great 2013!

Big hugs to you

Thank you all for following and making a comment or two on my blog.  Happy Christmas and enjoy your dinners and Christmas cake!!!  Yay!

A REAL TREAT FOR YOU!!!

Good morning to all my blogging friends and followers - I have a real treat to post for you today, especially as I haven't had to make it!  Our little friend Katie (she lives next door with her brother Thomas and her mum and dad) has made us a personal Christmas card.  I am sooo chuffed and I think she is really talented.  She made this for us because I always make cards for her family.   How brilliant is that!  She has chosen really bright gorgeous colours and has used glitter and blue grosgrain ribbon.  The bauble is made from sheets of foam and she has layered this beautifully.

Well done Katie!

I did ask her permission to post this on my blog and I dare say she will be reading this.  We would both love you to leave a comment - if you have the time of course.  Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my blog.

Big hugs to you all

WHY DO I HAVE TO CARRY THE BLINKIN' TREE???

Hello there blog buddies - it's getting a bit nearer isn't it - and I will confirm that it's being cheerful (grrrrrr) that keeps me going - lol!!!!!  Hi there to my new follower Supernan Sue, thank you so much for joining me in my quest to be creative - yay!  By the way, there's a lot of us Sue's about!!

I thought you would be really fed-up with Christmas cards but apparently not!  Several of you are still enamoured with them - it must be me then.  Mine have been finished and posted - barring any I might have missed.

This is another one I made the other week and I love this little image - why do I say that ..... I wouldn't use it if I didn't would I???  I am such a numpty!   I'm not sure that he looks very chuffed though - hence the title "Why do I have to carry the blinkin' tree?"   I have used my very favouritest dies (at this moment in time)  on this one - just because I can.

Ingredients
6 x 6" card blank
Kraft card
Papers from my stash
Image - My Little Tree from LOTV
Sentiment - LOTV
Copic Ciao pens
Spellbinders - Scallop and Circle Dies
Memory Box - Frosty Border and Snowflake Corner
Stickles - Stardust
Glamour Dust

Whilst you are here, I noticed a lovely piccy on Sarn's blog (Stamping for Pleasure). She has decorated her fireplace so beautifully and her Christmas tree is amazing. I told Graham and he said "Bet you wouldn't want anyone to see our little stockings"!!! Well I am always up for a challenge so I said "Why not"!
So I have posted a piccy of our Christmas fireplace - lol.  Oh bless, I have just noticed his little bald head in the mirror.

I hope you like my card - please leave me a comment if you have a little time.  Don't worry if you are too busy - believe me I do understand.  Thank you for visiting though, I do appreciate it.  My little band of followers is growing and I am chuffed to bits.  Take care during this next week and I will catch up with you soon.

Big hugs to you all.

ANOTHER (YAWN) CHRISTMAS CARD .......

Hi there my blog friends and followers - I hope you are keeping well and managing to still do a little crafting.  Just want to also say a special hello to my latest follower Dawn, thank you so much for joining me, I can guarantee that you will find a few cards and things on here and one heck of a lot of waffle!

I thought - as a treat (sorry I am now laughing)  I would post a Christmas card.  This is one I made last week but, as I have done nothing but bloomin' Christmas cards, it's this or nothing.  Did I hear a little voice, or ten, saying "it's getting close to the point where nothing is acceptable!!!"  Must admit I am fed-up of seeing Christmas papers and there is glitter in every room of our house.  Boy does Glamour Dust stick to the furniture, the carpets, the plates, the cups, husbands!!

Here is my little offering - it is very glittery and sparkly (especially the wings) but you can't quite see it in the pic.
Ingredients
6 x 6" card blank
Kraft card
Papers - Craft Creations Ltd
Image - Three Little Angels from LOTV
Sentiment - LOTV
Copic Ciao pens
Spellbinders - Labels Eleven Die
Memory Box - Frosty Border
X-Cut - Snowflake punch
Stickles - Stardust
Glamour Dust

I hope you aren't too bored with yet another Christmas card (I might still have one or two more hidden away, waiting to pounce - yay!!).  Can't you tell I am now sooooo into my alternative Christmas colours!  Mind you I am sure the next ones are traditional colours.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment if you have had the time.  I love your comments and the ongoing banter (you know who you are Jenny and Sue - they are still waiting for ceilings to be painted).

Big hugs to you all.

A FURRY HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Hi there blog friends, I do hope you are all well and not full of bugs and lurgies!!  We have had a beautiful sunny day here although it was a tad cold but I am definitely not complaining.  This is one of the cards I made last week and there is a shed load of glitter on there but you can't see it in the pic!  The trees were sprayed (rather gently) with gold glitter spray and they look really good (self-praise is no recommendation - yup I know) but they do!!

I lurve this stamp loads and it is the one I won from Linda (Creative Harmony) when she did her challenge for a white on white card with just a little added colour.  Aren't these little pussycats cute?

Before I go any further I must tell you I'm on book 3 of the 50 Shades trilogy and I have to admit this is a bit more exciting - although I'm at a loss as to where they get their energy from!!   They are ALWAYS 'busy'!!!   I usually read two or three chapters before I go to sleep - then as soon as my head hits the pillow .... I'm out like a light!   Poor hubby!!!  LOL.     Other books don't normally have this effect so it's obviously tiring me out more than the two in the book!

Anyway I hope you like this one, I'll put the ingredients below - well as many as I can remember!  I've loved seeing all your Christmas cards and am always amazed at the talent you all possess.  I've tried to catch up with some of the blogs out there but have not managed them all ..... yet!

Ingredients
6 x 6" card blank
Kraft card
Core-dinations Whitewash Collection card
Papers - Craft Creations Ltd
Image - Fur Cones from LOTV
Sentiment - LOTV
Copic Ciao pens
Spellbinders - Large Labels Die
Doohickey - Spruce Tree
Stickles - Stardust

Hope the rest of the week goes well for you - fingers crossed!  I am now going to see if I can 'Schedule' this post for tomorrow morning - you might be thinking when you read it that I have managed to get up early - as if!!!  Then again I might have forgotten by the time I have finished 'tryping'.

Loads of big hugs to you!!!

TWINCHIE IN CHRISTMAS COLOURS - CHALLENGE NO 11

Hi there my blog friends and a very warm welcome to my new follower Flora - cooo have I been busy with my Christmas cards - you will be thinking that I have made dozens .... as if .... I've managed four new ones and some ironing!!!  Mind you I've also made a very very quick Twinchie - because I haven't made any for the last two challenges.

Here it is .....

I must admit that this was made so quickly that I messed up the stars so will apologise now for that.  I'm not that keen on this one but I just don't have the time to do it again.

I hope you are all keeping well or are getting better if you have been laid low with lurgies at this time of year.  Take care blog buddies and thank you for stopping by - I will try and stop by your blogs as soon as I have finished my next cards - not sure I will be making all new ones this year - ooops.   Good job I have a back-up plan .... some I still have from last year!  Yay!!!

Big hugs to you

GIRL IN BLUE WITH SNOWFLAKE FLOWER

Good evening my crafty blogger friends and thank you so much for your recent comments on my Christmas card for a male!  I am so glad that I made quite a few of you laugh - I even made meself laugh!!  Thought I would mention that I am halfway through the second book of 50 Shades - I'm no longer going 50 Shades (of pink lol) in fact I am quite blazé and even find meself skimming over the 'rude' bits - well they are the same every time zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!  Here's me thinking that variety is the spice of life, give me a bit of old-fashioned ....... oops hubby might be reading this so I had better stop!
I am now making a few cards for friends and neighbours - I have two to send so far - yay!  Better get me finger out.  I used Copics on this one (this is my Christmas present, as you may remember from my last post).  Suzie is right though, you still need more colours.  However, I will be mixing Copics with Promarkers so I have quite a few colours to use.

I liked this little image - I found it on a Polka Doodles CD (am almost sure of this but forgive me if I am having a Senior Moment).  I wanted to use my new border dies and thought they would go with the little snowflake flower.

I decorated the inside of the card with the same papers and cut out a plain piece for the sentiment with the Splendid Circles dies.  I punched out a few snowflakes with the X-Cut punch and popped them over the join on the inside to soften the edge. Coo I'm sounding a bit like that Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen bloke.

Ingredients
 Card Base - 6 x 6"
Papers - HOTP Paper Pizzazz and HOTP Christmas
Dies - Spellbinders Small Circle and Splendid Circles
Image - ?Polka Doodles Magical Winter CD
Sentiment - LOTV
Memory Box - Frosty and Frostyville Borders
X-Cut - Snowflake punch
Copic Ciao Markers
Iced Spruce DI
Stardust Stickles and Glamour Dust

I hope you like this one, thank you again for stopping by and for reading my wafflings - I know some of you quite like them - thank goodness.  Please leave me a comment if you have a minute or three, I love reading them - especially when I make you laugh.  I hope you are all well and getting things sorted for Christmas.

Loads of big crafty hugs to you all

CHRISTMAS CARD FOR A MALE!

Hello there blog friends and lovely followers!  I am just posting my latest 'commissioned' card.  Naughty moi left the male one until last - 'cos I'm such a coward!  My blog friend Sue (Ollie's Mam) helped me with the picture - she is wonderful!  Once I had this, it was relatively plain sailing so thanks once again Sue.   Don't forget that I am coming to paint the Cistine Chapel for you - aka the ceiling of your new craft room!  If you could picture me lying on my back on top of scaffolding trying to paint you would all be ROFL - ie rolling on [the] floor laughing.

Anyway - something else I want to blurb on about (you see I haven't posted for a while so I am a tad loquacious - just seen this word in 50 Shades so I thought I would use it - lol).  My Christmas pressy from hubby arrived this afternoon and, of course, he wanted me to check it out.  He's bought me Copics - even the young lady at the supplier said I was lucky to have such a wonderful hubby - no arguments from me!  I asked if I could use them before Christmas and he said "it's up to you, you won't have anything to open though" as he backed out of my craft room.  Think he backed out 'cos I was fluttering me sparse eyelashes and biting me bottom lip!!! (Another reference to the 50 Shades book - well at least the biting lip bit is - it isn't a good look 'cos it makes me chins wobble).

'Nuff said - here is my card, the background card is dark green and textured although it looks black.

The pic Sue sent me had Santa just catching the ball, but I wanted him running and almost catching it.  Hubby changed it for me and also de-coloured it so that I could use my Promarkers on it.  I found a pic of a rugby ball and decoupaged it onto the picture (instead of deeecoupaging it).

Ingredients
7x7 Kraft card blank
First Edition Papers - Christmas Village
Green textured card from stash
Image - from the internet
Spellbinders - Curved Rectangles Die
Joy Crafts - Stars (set of three)
Promarkers
Holly leaves - The Best of La Pashe CD
Sentiment - LOTV
Crystal Stickles
Buttons - 'Special Delivery' by Helz Cuppleditch

I hope you like this card and leave me a comment or two.  By all means tell me if you think it is a little too 'girly' but I am pleased with this one - that makes it a miracle I can tell you.  I have decorated the inside quite plainly (similar to the last ones I've made) so I've not bothered with a pic.

Oooh by the way, Wilma has contacted me and her 'winnings' will be winging their way to her tomorrow (bit later than expected Wilma!).

Big hugs to all of you out there and thank you for following my little blog heaven.  You are brilliant allowing me to waffle on as I do.  Come on now, who said "we don't have much choice?" LOL.

Hi there blog buddies and an extra special hello to my latest follower Aussie Annie - I really cannot believe that having a blog gets you around the world like this.  It is truly exciting and I am so enjoying myself  -  still!!

Anyway, as you know, I had pigeon pull a number out of hubby's coffee 'bucket' on 14 November.  This has not been claimed (I gave the winner until yesterday to contact me), so I will be re-drawing it again tomorrow - sorry I mean pigeon will be doing the job for me!!!

BOX FOR MY LILAC AND LAVENDER CHRISTMAS CARD

Hello peeps and fellow blogsters and a special warm welcome to my latest follower Vicky.  I was drawn to Vicky's blog initially because her surname is the same as mine!!  However, she is very talented and has a lovely blog called Sticky with Icky (http://stickywithicky.blogspot.co.uk/) - had to laugh 'cos I was glueing when I found her blog and of course I was sticky.  I cannot use any glue (and I mean ANY) without getting covered in the stuff.   Anyway this is a short post because it is the box for my previous card.

I've just popped another small piccy of the card that goes inside - just for reference!  LOL.

I'm quite pleased with the box, I used a little of my lilac Spider's Web for texture.  I am improving with my flowers - I used to only put 3 or 5 flowers on but the card and the box have a total of 20!!!  I have a large plastic crate full of them now, so I feel I can be a tad more generous!

Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by again and for any comments you may have made - I am really really grateful.  I will be catching up with your blogs asap.  Must also catch up with the darn ironing tomorrow - sheesh I hate it, my back always locks and spasms.  I've even tried sitting on a little stool but it's worse than ever 'cos I'm up and down like a proverbial yo-yo!

Big hugs to all of you, I hope you are all well and for anyone out there who is feeling low (especially those of you who I know) I am thinking of you and sending you a virtual hug and a half!!

LILAC AND LAVENDER CHRISTMAS!

Hello there my lovely blog friends and followers, thank you for stopping by and checking out my cards.  This is the third card for my ex-colleague and, as it is for his sister, I thought I would try another non-traditional one.  I have used my beloved LOTV stamps again, simply because I lurve 'em!

This card will be handed to his sister so I am making a box.  I will pop that on my blog when I have made it.

Here is my lilac and lavender card -

I have also decorated the inside of the card - yay!
The design is again based on another sketch I found on Dawny P's blog - http://pinkpiggywiggy.blogspot.co.uk/.
Ingredients
Card Base - 7 x 7"
Papers - HOTP Pizzazz
Kraft Card - C & C
Spellbinders Floral Ovals Die
Image/Sentiment - LOTV
Flowers - WOC
Holly leaves - The Best of La Pashe CD
Promarkers
Stardust
Gems - stash

I hope you like this card - it is only the second one I have made which is non-traditional.  I quite like the colours but have a feeling I will be back to my traditional cards very shortly.  My next card is for my ex-colleague's son and the one that I am really worrying about.  I have some ideas rolling about with the rest of the tumbleweed in my head so who know what will happen!!!

Thank you once again for stopping by and leaving your comments, if you don't have time to leave a word or two then that is fine, I understand.  I am so pleased that you have taken the trouble to check out my blog.

Big hugs to you all

ANOTHER TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS CARD !!!

Hello there blog buddies - I hope you are all well and crafting whenever you can.  Sorry I haven't posted for a few days but I am totally incapable of doing a card every day - I have tried (very hard to be honest) but I just cannot do it!  I did pop over to a few blogs but not as many as I normally do.  Anyway I am back now and am posting another card for my ex-colleague - this one is for his daughter.  I did try to colour the image non-traditionally but I was disappointed with the result so I started again!!!!  I am my own worst enemy!

Here is the card for you to have a peep at

This is the inside of the card - yup I have decorated the inside again!!!  I'm getting better! lol.  I was going to cut out a circle but changed my mind and used the bauble ornament.  I used my laptop for the sentiment and then used the die to cut it out.  I left it in the die whilst I stamped a few random snowflakes in blue chalk ink.  Once they were dry I put a few 'blobs' of Stardust over them to make them sparkle.

The next one I am making is in non-traditional colours.  I have already coloured the image and am quite pleased with it - therefore (at this moment in time - ooh I nearly started trilling then) I am not going to change it.  I do love my LOTV images and keep using them.  I have printed some digi-stamps from the internet (freebies) and may be using one or two of them soon though.

Ingredients

Card Base - 7 x 7"
Papers - HOTP Paper Pizzazz and First Edition
Dies - Spellbinders Circle and Scalloped Circle, Christmas Ornament 2011
Image/Sentiment - LOTV
Poinsettia from bit box
Ooops nearly forgot - snowflake charm is from my stash!
Promarkers
Stardust!!!
Gems - stash

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, I know we all say this but I love reading your comments so, if you stop by AND leave a comment, I am doubly chuffed!  You often make my day and many of you make me chuckle (you know who you are don't you) which is a gift in itself.

Take great care of yourselves, I hope your weekend has been good and I also hope that you have a good week - especially if you are able to craft or shop for crafty goodies - yay!!!

Big hugs to you all out there in blogland.

BLOG CANDY WINNER!!!!!!

Well hello peeps - my dear husband has pulled the number out of his coffee 'bucket' - although the picture looks as if the stone pigeon was the 'picker' (another of hubby's little jokes) and the number is 39 - I counted from my first follower and came to EILEENHere are the piccies of the actual selection.

I would like Eileen to leave a comment on this post first of all and I will then sort out email addresses etc.  Please contact me by Sunday 25 November 2012 to make arrangements.

CHRISTMAS IN BLUE AND PINK!!

Hi there blogsters I hope you are all keeping well and warm!  I just want to welcome my latest followers - I have now reached the magic 50 - yay!!!   I know it says 51 but I have a follower whose name doesn't appear so I don't know who it is!!  Graham will be picking someone's name out of his over-large coffee 'bucket' tomorrow.  You will see what I mean when I post the picture!

Anyway lovely peeps, I am posting a card that has been commissioned.  This is for the lady friend of a colleague I used to work with.  I think I have mentioned this before but he has asked me to make four cards for him and this is the first one.  I was going to post it yesterday but hadn't quite finished the box and as hubby is doing his four days at work for this month, I  then had to wait for the piccy to be taken.  Oh and by the way - this is the first ever non-traditional Christmas card I have ever made!!!  I usually use quite traditional colours.  I have a feeling I may have opened the floodgates and I will be making mostly  non-traditional ...... then again!!!

Here is the card for your deliberation!!  I didn't want the card to be 8 x 8 this time because I felt that the design would be lost so I cut down an 8 x 8 and made it into a 7 x 7.  I then made the box to fit as normal and I lined the inside of the lid with the blue paper.   I also decorated the inside of the card but I printed the Christmas greeting on pearl paper and then embossed it, no matter how hard Graham tried the paper was too 'pearly' to photograph properly.   However - it looks lurvely in daylight!  The actual design is based on a sketch I found on Dawny P's blog - http://pinkpiggywiggy.blogspot.co.uk/.

The  card is above and I have posted the box underneath, these pictures were taken yesterday and today with different backgrounds so the colours might look slightly different.

BLOOMIN' CHRISTMAS BLOBS!!!

Hi there blog followers and a huge welcome to my new follower - only four to go and I will be picking a winner of my blog candy.  Don't forget I have added a little more to the prize but will leave you guessing!!!

Anyway I made a card yesterday - yes no thinking allowed on this one - however I am not happy with my snow blobs!  Methinks I was a little gung-ho with them and went a tad overboard and it is almost a dis-ahhhhhs-ter dahlings!   Oooer now you know what I have been watching!  I only watch it for Artem's pecs you understand.   Back to the card ... this is my SECOND Christmas card and it will probably be shelved because I am not sure that I could give it to anyone.

I loved the image and used my faithful Promarkers to colour it in, then decided that it needed some Liquid Pearls.  I haven't used these in ages and think I must practise a little more before I actually put them on a card.  I love the colours though, so that is one thing going for it - lol!

It is a very dismal day here so I think I will do a little more colouring with my Promarkers now ..... or I could do some ironing ..... or clean the bathroom ..... or make a casserole.  Ho hum decisions, decisions.

Big hugs to you all out there and enjoy your crafting if you have time to do some today.
