CRAFTY CALENDAR - SEPTEMBER - ANYTHING GOES

Good morning everyone - hope you are feeling OK today - me thermals have been on and off for the past week and it's really annoying, one minute it's sunny and reasonably warm and the next it's really bloomin' cold!  Oh and whilst I'm having a mumble, it's that time of year again - those dirty great eight- legged beasties are out and about!  I found one had 'wandered' into the bathroom and was hiding near the sink waiting to pounce as I brushed me teeth!  After a scream shout to the maestro the beastie was saddled up and removed - can't help feeling it's waiting (along with the rest of his family) to come galloping back just as soon as me guard is down!   Yuk!

Anyway here's my card that I made for the Crafty Calendar DT.

This month we've been sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and our theme is Anything Goes so we are hoping to see loads of you entering our challenge!

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More, a division of I Did It Creations, was created and is owned by Robyn Weinrib. Robyn offers a wonderful variety of digital stamps and digital papers, designed to meet the needs of all digital paper crafting addicts for every occasion.

Ingredients

7" x 7" White Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
Digi image - Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps
Papers/Lace - Docrafts Capsule Collections 'Eue de Nil' and 'French Lavender'
Detailed Scallop Rectangle die - Spellbinders Dies
Sentiment topper - Anna Marie Designs
Hydrangea Petals - WOC (I made these into scrunchy flowers)
Stamens for above - Brenda's Lace and Ribbon (FB)
Pearls - Hobby House
Flexmarkers

I bought these two paper kits 'cos I just love the colours so (for once) I decided which papers I wanted and then!!! coloured the image to compliment the papers.  I have really fallen in love with those hydrangea petals from WOC - they come in so many colours and together with the stamens from Brenda's Lace and Ribbon supplies on FB I think they make fabulous flowers.

So come on peeps let's see your creations on the Crafty Calendar Challenge - you have a month to enter up to three projects and there's no limit to how many other challenges you can enter.

I'm now off to have a little play with Donny 'cos he's having a go at me (verbally) for ignoring him!

Hugs to you all out there and take care.

CHRISTMAS CARDS ALL YEAR ROUND - SEPTEMBER - A COUNTRY CHRISTMAS

Good afternoon peeps and bloggers out there!  I'm posting my latest DT card for CCAYR and this month our theme is A Country Christmas.   I thought of this as being kraft card, tartan paper and polka dot poinsettias!  You will all have your own interpretations of course, what about gingerbread peeps and gingham?

My stamps are from Tatty Twinkles, I was just going to use Tatty Santa at first but then decided to add the little cat.   Funnily enough that's how Donny looks at me just before he falls over wanting a scratch and tickle - mind you he would never ever let me put those Christmas decorations on him!  I would probably be minus a few digits!

CRAFTY TIME CHALLENGE - SEPTEMBER - ANYTHING BUT A CARD.

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to my new followers, thank you so much for checking out my blog!   Well I'm back here again with another DT post which I will keep short 'cos there might have been a little tmi re my undercrackers yesterday!!!  :) :)   Mind you I'm still cackling at the maestro's face!!

Thank you for the comments about our weight loss they really are appreciated - must say we now both weigh less than we did 15 years ago!

Anyway, the theme for the Crafty Time Challenge this month is Anything but a Card.  This is my last challenge with this lovely team because I have come to the end of my 6 month 'engagement' and I feel it's time for me to leave and give someone else a chance plus it might give me a little more time to do some playing with misters, dies (new ones), stamps and gilding waxes.

I'd got some MDF shapes in my stash so I thought I would make a little wall 'hanger'.   The maestro did a bit of drilling here and there so that I could hang the heart on the bottom as well as thread some thin cord through the top.  It looked a bit 'mmmm' with just ribbon holding the heart so I looked for some wire in my stash, as you can see I also found some little gold coloured bells and thought 'why not?' so they were twisted in the wire as well.

First of all I painted all the surfaces with Gesso then I picked a rather plain paper and stuck it on the front and back of both pieces.  I followed on by having some fun with a splodge of misting ink and some stamping.  I used a butterfly stamp over one part and topped it with some Cosmic Shimmer Mica Powder - unfortunately all of this, including some random stamping, can only be seen in daylight.  Shame but on such a wet, miserable day even the maestro couldn't show the effects in the pic.

Ingredients

MDF pieces - Dreamees and my stash
Digi - Sherri Baldy (don't know what she's called)
Paper - Best of Brenda Walton at K and Co
White and Blue Vellum - Stash
Gee-sso - Indigoblu
Butterfly Cascade Clear Stamps - Stamps by Chloe
Sentiment stamp - Dandelion Wishes - Rubber Stampede
Spray Ink and Mica Pigment - Phill Martin's 'Chic Moss'
Finishing Touches - Camellia Complete Petals dies - Sue Wilson at Creative Expressions
Pippi Butterfly Die - Memory Box
Pearls - 'Fairytale' selection at Scrapberries
Lace and Flower Stamens - Brenda's Lace and Ribbon Supplies (FB)
Wire and Small Bells - Stash
Copic Markers

I coloured some of the vellum with Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Ink pads - I saw this on FB where Kathy Mills (of Glitter Girls fame) had used it and her flowers look so pretty that I decided to have a go.  The leaves and beige flower have both been coloured with these ink pads.  I let it dry and then die cut the petals etc - I will be doing this again because I think they look really nice.

That's enough of me waffling on 'cos I need to tell you that we've been sponsored this month by Sherri Baldy and she is offering three digis to our randomly chosen winner.  Let's see what you can make for our theme - don't forget you have a whole month to get your project/s entered!

Still go a couple more to post so I'll be back!

Lots of big hugs to you from a very wet and soggy Nottinghamshire.

THROUGH THE PURPLE HAZE - SEPTEMBER - 'BIRTHDAY'!

Late again so I know I'm going to have me legs slapped peeps.  Anyway I'm here now so good morning everyone I trust you are all well or at least on the mend!  I'm posting my card for the TTPH challenge and our theme this month is 'Birthdays' - easy peasy!!!   We've been sponsored by Zuri Artsy Craftsy and I used a gorgeous image which was a freebie on their site.

I thought these girls both looked so happy because one of them was celebrating a birthday.

Ingredients

7" x 7" white card blank from Anna Marie Designs
Digi - Zuri Artsy Craftsy freebie
Papers - My Minds Eye 'Lost and Found 3' - 12" x 12" cardstock pad
Oval die - Tattered Lace Dies
Eleganza Oval die - Tattered Lace Dies
Eva Stem die - Memory Box Dies
Small Hydrangea Blooms die - Poppy Stamps Dies
Cross-stitch Rectangles die - Die-namics Dies (new)
Graph'it Markers
Pearl Spray - Anna Marie Designs
Ribbon - Stash

I'm looking forward to seeing your creations on the Challenge blog 'cos I know that this theme is an all year rounder!!  I would add that our sponsors have asked that you use one of their images to be in with a chance of winning.  Now as I said before, there are lots of freebies on their site (here) so why not use one?

Before I go, I must tell you that the maestro and I are still losing weight, I have lost 3st and a very important half a pound, the maestro has also lost 3st plus (he's not too worried about the extra bits!).  I noticed that me undies were becoming a tad slack so said to him "I'm going to have to buy some more lingerie" - well the look on his face was priceless and then he said ..... wait for it .... "You're buying what?"  so I decided to get back to me norm and said "Duh - I'm going to have to buy some more undercrackers and a bust bodice or three"!.  "Ooohhhhhhhhhh" he says "why didn't you say that in the first place"!    Bless him eh???

Back soon to put my other late posts on!  Big hugs to you and lots of love.
