OSAAT DT CHALLENGE - NO 263 - ANYTHING GOES WITH STITCHING (REAL OR FAUX)

Afternoon all - been swimming again this week and managed 10 - yes 10 - lengths!   Somewhat better than the few feet I managed the first time we went.  Taking to it like a duck to the proverbial!   Anyway better get on with posting my next card for the OSAAT DT.  This time we have a theme of AG with stitching (real or faux - lurve that word)!  I thought I'd make a Get Well card for my 'stash' - they're the type of card you want quickly but never have any to hand ... well at least I don't - lol!

This image is called 'Get Well Soon' and it's by Digi Blessings - he seems to be a tad miserable poor soul!  I think this one could be for any age though and might bring a smile to a glum face! lol.

The prize is a $10 voucher for digis from the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet so it really is well worth entering and what's more we'd love to see your creations.

7" x 7" White linen card blank - Anna Marie Designs

THROUGH THE PURPLE HAZE - CHALLENGE NO 102 - UNDER THE WATER

Good morning everyone - well the week started out really well and then ... down came the rain .... AGAIN!  Mind you it didn't bother us 'cos we went swimming again and I managed to do a few lengths - well 3 or 4 to be precise but that was better than the couple of feet I managed last time!  It was much quieter at the lunch-time session - those 50 + peeps last time were very rowdy!  LOL - only joking!  Graham says I'll be swimming like a dolphin in no time - I don't see it meself 'cos I can't put me head under water!  Oh well I'll just have to keep trying.  I'm hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that it isn't as wet in Eskdale where our lovely friends Sue J, hubby Paul and Ollie and Woody are staying.  Keep your wellies dry Soooooz!

'Nuff of me waffling - here's my next card for the TTPH DT.  Our theme this time is 'Under Water' (very apt considering my swimming prowess - not) and we've been sponsored by Make it Crafty, 'Melusina Mermaid' here is one of their digi images - beautiful!!

Ingredients

7" x 7" White Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
Digi - 'Melusina Mermaid' from Make it Crafty Digi Designs
LOTV - 'Beach Bliss' paper pad
Papermania Capsule Collection - Eau de Nil card
Presscut Dies  - Oval Nesting die
Spellbinders Dies - Devine Floral die
Joanna Sheen Signature Dies - Sammy Seahorse die
Creative Expressions Dies - Sue Wilson's Finishing Touches 'Beaded Swirl Flourish' die
Memory Box Dies - Beach Sprig die
Pearls and gems - stash
Crafters Companion - Pearl spray (on the seahorse)

My teamies and I would love to see what you can create for our challenge this time.   Don't forget there is a prize for the winner.

Sorry this is a short post but I am aching from head to toe after all of those lengths at the swimming baths! lol!!!  Looking forward to going again next week.

Big hugs to you all.

CRAFTY CALENDAR - MAY - THINGS WITH WINGS!

Good morning fellow bloggers.  I'm sorry that this is a little late it's because I have been card making for my lovely neighbour's mum.  The theme at the Crafty Calendar challenge this month is 'Things with Wings' and I just had to get this one coloured because I love the image.  My little bug didn't have any wings so I used a couple of die cuts and popped them onto a coat hanger ready for him to wear when he goes out to 'partay'!!!  My brain sure works in mysterious ways.  As always our challenge runs for a month so you have plenty of time to make a card or two and we would love to see your 'winged' creations.

I've used my wonderful foil machine for the sentiment but the lighting was awful and the holographic foil just didn't photograph very well so the maestro did a close up to help you see it properly.

We have two sponsors this month - and that means two prizes!!!  We have

Crafty Ribbons  -  who are offering £10 to spend in store

and Angie's Cards and Digis - she is offering a prize of digis!

We girls in the DT would just love to see all your creations - it makes us very happy to see your interpretations of our themes.

Ingredients

Digi - Angie's Cards and Digis
7" x 7" white card blank - Anna Marie Designs
First Edition - 'Summer Breeze' paper pad (double sided)
Embossing Folder - 'Beautiful Rose' free with a magazine
Crafts-Too Dies - Round Stitch and Hole die (new one Sue J)
Crafts-Too Dies - Rectangle Stitch and Hole die
Poppy Stamps Dies - Monterey Vine die
Memory Box Dies - Leavenworth Butterfly Trio die
Pearls - Scrapberry's
Coat Hanger - Absolutely Ancient stash
Flexmarkers
Minc Holographic foil and Minc machine

I'm taking Graham swimming again next week (lol)  - you all know he's taking me really!!  Looking forward to it - the plastic has now gone and I just have to make sure my bosoms are engaged - no I know I didn't tell you about that bit, let's just say I missed the 'cup' part when I put it on and had to 'readjust' in the water - having trotted from the changing rooms to the pool with bosoms akimbo!  Oh well!

That's all from me for now - can't wait to see your cards etc.

Take care of yourselves and enjoy this bit of sunshine!

Big hugs to you all

OSAAT DT CHALLENGE - NO 261 - ANYTHING GOES WITH VINTAGE

Hi there - well unfortunately my post is late because poop happens in life!!  I had this one all sorted ready to post when I realised I'd forgotten what the image was called - quick pop into my saved emails and I found it - she's called 'Holly Girl'.  However I also found out that I'd made a sweet little Christmas card but there was absolutely no - and I mean NO - reflection of it being 'Vintage' which funnily enough, is the theme this time.  Read on below - if you aren't yawning by now!!

Soooo - after I'd managed to get the image off the original card, I popped it through my Ebosser to flatten it and left it on my desk as I sorted the design for my vintage creation.  It'd started to rain by now so I nipped outside to get the washing in.  Unfortunately during this interlude Donny came running in - chasing Biscuit - not huge fans of rain, Biscuit then ran upstairs to his safe place which of course is on my desk!   I came back upstairs - happy that my washing was OK - only to find one ruddy great paw print on my picture.  We both adore our fur babies and Biscuit is so sweet - apart from his feet which are about the size of dirty great furry elephant trotters, needless to say I gritted my teeth and forgave them both!   However this meant I had to colour another image - at least I'd decided what colours to use - thank goodness.  So now you see why this card has been a real 'tinker' from the start.

I hope you can get your vintage creations made without all the trouble I had!!!  We really look forward to seeing them.  You could win a $10 voucher for digis from the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet .

Ingredients

7" x 7" white card blank - Anna Marie Designs
Digi image - 'Holly Girl' by Coosty Creations at Stitchy Bears Digi Outlet
Dk red card - stash
Patterned card - 'Twig and Berry' 6.5" pad by Kaiser Craft
Dotty foiled card - 'Turtle Dove' 6.5" pad by Kaiser Craft
Sentiment - 'Twig and Berry' 6.5" pad by Kaiser Craft
Square Layering dies - Tonic Dies
Floral bits - Ancient stash from Create and Craft
Copic markers and one or two Spectrum Noir markers

You might (or might not) have read on my FB page that we started going swimming last week.  There's a session for 50+ peeps on Mondays and Thursdays so I thought that would be a nice and gentle start!  Blimey - they are all soooooooo fit - one lovely lady was getting out and and I asked her if she'd done her bit for the day and she said she'd swum her 24 lengths and at 80 years young that was enough for her.   I managed about 24ft before someone bumped me and that was it - enough to cause me to panic so I did me own sort of soggy aerobics at the shallow end.  Still got me heart rate up a bit - I've not been put off though and will be going again next week.  The two 'Life Guards' told me when it was quieter so we might try one of those times instead!    The maestro did a few lengths so he was happy and we had a real giggle - especially when I got back to the changing cubicle and realised that the 'hygienic plastic bit' was still in my new swimsuit!!!!!  Thought it was a bit crinkly when I was walking to and from the pool!   Ouch!

Oh well that's it for me I'm off to have a nice hot bath now 'cos me bones are aching!

Take care of yourselves and don't forget to pop your vintage creations onto the OSAAT challenge this time.

Hugs to you all and take care.
