Well, this fortnight the CCC theme is 'Christmas Bears' and I haven't a clue why I chose this! I do love bears though and it gave me a chance to use a stamp set from Personal Impressions (which I bought years ago!). I didn't want to make a card for a child but I felt that if I used 'grown' up papers I could send it to a family with children! There's no Wink of Stella on here either, just a smidge of Stardust Stickles on his pompom.
My dies came to the fore as usual, I do love my dies and will now refuse to say how many I have 'cos Ollie's Mam teases me ... just a tad!
Ingredients
7" x 7" white card blank - Anna Marie Designs (not sure whether I have said before but these really are a great weight of card)
Teddy Bear cling stamp - Personal Impressions
Christmas Sentiment cling stamp - LOTV
Kraft Card for matting - Crafters Companion
Music and Word papers - Joyful Peace Pad from GCD Studios
Circle paper - Nordic Christmas Pad from First Edition
Red paper - Classic Christmas Pad from LOTV
Rectangle Stitched Stax die - Lil'Inker Dies
Circle Stitched Stax die - Lil'Inker Dies
Holly Accents die - Spellbinders Dies
Red Pearls from stash
Flexmarkers and Distress Inks
I am quite pleased with how my Christmas Teddy card turned out - thank goodness! It's also nice and flat for posting - yay!
Thank you for visiting me today, and as usual I am really pleased if you have managed to leave a comment. This is a scheduled post and I will be checking out the rest of the CCC cards later - I do hope there's a full-house, it really is great finding out what the other girls have made when you have picked the theme.
Lots of hugs to you all, I hope the weather stays as nice as it is today!

ReplyDeleteHi Sue what a brilliant Christmas card, fab image and mix of papers. Happy belated birthday! Susan x
ReplyDeleteA beautiful Christmas card Sue, love those papers and the image is adorable. I struggled with the theme this time though - can you believe I didn't own a Christmas teddy stamp or digi - I will have to rectify that when hubby isn't looking, lol. A great theme though none the less and I'm sure the ladies will all do it justice. Glad you had a lovely birthday.

ReplyDeleteGreat image, papers and dies Sue, resulting in a lovely card. I don't know what Ollie's Mam goes on about - just because you had to buy the house next door to accommodate all your craft stash ..... ROFL!! I'm still racking my brains about the battery operated gift too. Hmmm , I'd better not put my first thought - too cheeky - but I'll keep working on it. Hugs Christine xx

Firstly, a BIG HAPPY Birthday, Youngster!! Hope the day was just wonderful, filled with all the people and things that you love. I love your Teddy card. Who would ever tease a cardmaker for having too many dies? That's like having too much paper, or too many punches? Right? The stitched die is wonderful with your beautiful Ted. Loved this challenge, as I knew immediately which stamp would work for this one. Great traditional papers, and liked the rectangle die atop the circle and all the lovely corner embellies. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card ! Hugs xx
