THROUGH THE PURPLE HAZE - CHALLENGE NO 100 - ADD A NUMBER

Good morning everyone out there - although we are having 'April showers' (lots of the bloomin' things!) we do seem to be getting the sunshine through too.  Went shopping yesterday to McArthurGlen 'Designer' Outlet 'cos the maestro wanted a new jacket for his hols!   Needless to say there is also a Cadbury Factory Shop so I had a little peep and a sniff in the doorway - of course I didn't have any!   Okay okay only some Buttons - it would have been rude not to!!!  In the end - no jacket - however we now have two new purple suitcases, one pair of shoes for the maestro and one superbly gorgeous handbag for moi - and  ... the maestro told me to buy it!!!  How positive is that???

Well - I'm here to post my next card for the Through the Purple Haze challenge DT.  Our theme is to use a number - I wanted to be able to use my card for any birthday so with a little thinking outside me box (coo that hurt!) I used a '2' instead of a 'to' in my sentiment.  I can see a number so it's not cheating!!!

Our sponsor this time is

The image I used is called Shaylee - isn't she a cutie?  I wanted to use pink for my base card but didn't have the 'right' shade so I took a piece of Crafters Companion Centura Pearl card in Fresh Pink and folded it at the 7" mark and the bit left was exactly - yup exactly - the right size for the front of my design.   Naturally I had to cut a strip off the top to make it a 7" square blank.   I haven't used any punches for quite a while now so I found a Martha Stewart border punch for the edge and some Nellie Snellen punches for the flowers and foliage.  Only two actual dies used - am getting withdrawal symptoms already methinks!!

Ingredients

7" x 7" pink base card - 'fashioned' from a sheet of A4 Centura Pearl card
Digi image - 'Shaylee' from Art by Miran
Pierced Rectangle Stax die - Die-Namics Dies
Pierced Circle Stax die - Die-Namics Dies
Edge punch - Martha Stewart Punches
Flowers and Foliage punches - Nellie Snellen Punches
Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Copics
Lace, net, pearls and twine - Brenda's Lace and Ribbon Supplies on FB
Holographic foil for sentiment - Heidi Swapp

In case you wondered - I managed to use my Minc machine again - it's a corker!!

I know the whole team (me included) would love to see your creations entered into our challenge, so why not play along??

Take good care of yourselves and enjoy the weather (providing it's sunny) wherever you are.

Big hugs to you all

Love
Sue xxx

  8. This is beautiful! That flower cluster is stunning and the half front shows it off perfectly. And what a fabulous way to add the number without limiting yourself to a specific age. Thanks for playing with LTSCB.
