CRAFTY CALENDAR JANUARY CHALLENGE - SOMETHING NEW

Hello my fellow blogsters and friends in blogland, here is my card for the Crafty Calendar first challenge of 2015.  Our theme this month is 'Something New' - it could be new stash, new baby, new home, new craft - anything new in fact!!!  I've been wanting to make some cards for the occasions which happen in our lives and had this lovely little image in my 'bought or won' folder on my laptop just begging to be used for a New Home card.
I really enjoyed colouring in this digi image and decided to add a few buzzards oops birds flying overhead to make it look more 'homey' - and now my imagination is taking over - meanwhile, back on planet Earth!!!

Ingredients

7" x 7" White card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
Mushroom home image - either bought or won but am unable to remember where from.
Floral Swirl Embossing Folder - Tattered Lace
Curved Banner die - Tattered Lace Concertina side and inner plates dies
Word Sentiments - Tattered Lace dies
Tulips die - Tattered Lace dies
Mixed Scallop Rectangle/Plain Rectangle dies - Tonic dies
Circle Layering die - Tonic die sets
Country Meadow paper pad - LOTV and Nitwit
Red / White card from Stash

Anyway, we are being sponsored this month by High Hopes Rubber Stamps and they are donating a prize of two unmounted rubber stamps to the winner of our challenge.    Don't forget the challenge runs for a whole month, so plenty of time to get over Christmas and into crafting - woo hoo!

Important bit coming in red!!!  Our challenge maestro Lynne is looking for one or two more peeps to join our DT.   If you would like to create  a card a month for this lovely challenge blog and comment on some of the entries, then you can either email Lynne at  lynne.h72@sky.com or put 'DT' after your name when you enter the challenge.  We've got some corking themes coming up in 2015!!

Oh well, I've waffled on for ages now and Blossom has just taken a flying leap onto my desk (from the door I might add) 'cos his nibs is chasing her - poor girl doesn't realise he just wants to play (!) well he doesn't have the wherewithall for anything else!  Ever tried typing through a furbaby's legs - not easy I can assure you.  I'll say tata for now.

Lots of hugs to you all, take care and to any of you feeling unwell at the moment, I hope you feel better very soon - you can have a virtual cuddle as well!!!

  10. Hi Sue
Gorgeous card. Immaculate colouring as usual. Love that embossing too.
Poor Donny, having his advances spurned. Mind you, perhaps Blossom knows he's no longer up to the task. No feline fireworks in your house then.
Great news about the NEC. I'll warn the appropriate authorities!
    Best wishes.
