CRAFTY CALENDAR NOVEMBER CHALLENGE - IT'S ALL ABOUT CHRISTMAS!

Well hello there peeps!   This is my Crafty Calendar DT card for November,  our theme is 'It's all About Christmas' and I chose this lovely topiary shrub from our November sponsors 'Scribble Designs'.  I decided to make this into a CAS card, even though I find them difficult to make - only because I want to put other bits and pieces on them (even now!!!).

You can't see much of the colour on this pic so I am adding another one which shows off the red and the silver satin mirri card - thanks to the maestro!
I stamped the greeting directly onto the card and embossed it with Cosmic Shimmer Black embossing powder.

Ingredients

Ivory Hammer Finish Card 9.25" x 4.25"
Snow Cap Topiary digi - Scribbles Designs
Merry Christmas Sentiment - Stamps Away 'Written Christmas Greetings'
Red and Silver Satin Mirri Card - C & C
Promarkers and Flexmarkers
DecoArt Glitter

I know that there are a lot of you making Christmas cards right now so why don't you enter the Crafty Calendar Challenge this month - you can win 3 digis of your own choice from our sponsors Scribbles Designs.
I'm calling this a mid-month reminder - even though this started on 1 November, the next challenge doesn't start until 6 December so you have until 5th December (8pm) to enter up to 3 of your Christmas cards.

I hope you don't think my card is too CAS - does it need anything else ... a ribbon maybe ... a couple of pearls ...  ooooh I'm itching to add a little bit here and there!!!

Oh well, I'll think about it!  Take good care of yourselves and enjoy the rest of your weekend, I'm sending you all a hug as usual!

Just a little addendum - keep a check on my blog for news of Donny and his missing manitals or testicules - can't use the proper word 'cos it's too painful for me oops I mean him!!!

Sue xxx

I would like to enter my card into the following 10 challenges -
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long Challenge No 37 - http://christmasstampin.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/challenge-37-anything-goes.html

  4. Hi Sue
My goodness. This is CAS for you but it doesn't need anything extra. . . . . . .superb as is!
You ought to get something for that itching lol!
What have you done to poor Donny? I didn't think they actually removed the cahones when they were being neutered. What's worrying is the other Sue saying Paul's had the same!
    Graham, I'd sleep with one eye open if I were you. . . . . . .

great CAS card, and the image is lovely.
I know what you mean about CAS cards as I too find them very difficult to make. I know they should be easier, but you know me I am like you and like my little fiddly bits on there.
Love and hugs to all in the P household, especially poor Donny.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  8. This is just prefect Sue, it needs nothing else. Oh Donny will be fine, a bit sore and sorry for his self for a few days, but it's for the best. He knows a good thing and is a lucky boy to have people like your selves looking out for him. Hazel xx

  15. A lovely topiary image, and you've used it beautifully on both cards. I don't know why I seldom to think to make a 'long' card, but it certainly shows off this pretty image wonderfully well. Am liking your mirro mats very much! TFS &Hugs

  24. Well, Soupie, that sat me back in my chair. I had to read the comments to see if Donny was your mister or your boy dog. I've come away thinking the latter and can picture the mutt wearing the "cone of shame" afterwards. We've been through it many times in our household and eventually, yes, it even caught on in the humans and my Mister had it done. Talk about whining and whimpering! But don't mention it. He still squeezes his knees together when anyone says the word ...

But that's not why you called. Your long-tall-Sally of a card is GORGEOUS!!! I would pay bug bucks for it!! Hugs, Darnell
