CHRISTMAS IN BLUE AND PINK!!

Hi there blogsters I hope you are all keeping well and warm!  I just want to welcome my latest followers - I have now reached the magic 50 - yay!!!   I know it says 51 but I have a follower whose name doesn't appear so I don't know who it is!!  Graham will be picking someone's name out of his over-large coffee 'bucket' tomorrow.  You will see what I mean when I post the picture!

Anyway lovely peeps, I am posting a card that has been commissioned.  This is for the lady friend of a colleague I used to work with.  I think I have mentioned this before but he has asked me to make four cards for him and this is the first one.  I was going to post it yesterday but hadn't quite finished the box and as hubby is doing his four days at work for this month, I  then had to wait for the piccy to be taken.  Oh and by the way - this is the first ever non-traditional Christmas card I have ever made!!!  I usually use quite traditional colours.  I have a feeling I may have opened the floodgates and I will be making mostly  non-traditional ...... then again!!!

Here is the card for your deliberation!!  I didn't want the card to be 8 x 8 this time because I felt that the design would be lost so I cut down an 8 x 8 and made it into a 7 x 7.  I then made the box to fit as normal and I lined the inside of the lid with the blue paper.   I also decorated the inside of the card but I printed the Christmas greeting on pearl paper and then embossed it, no matter how hard Graham tried the paper was too 'pearly' to photograph properly.   However - it looks lurvely in daylight!  The actual design is based on a sketch I found on Dawny P's blog - http://pinkpiggywiggy.blogspot.co.uk/.

The  card is above and I have posted the box underneath, these pictures were taken yesterday and today with different backgrounds so the colours might look slightly different.

Anyway that is all for now my lovely friends, once again thank you so much for any comments you may wish to leave.  I really am pleased that I now have 50 followers - don't be strangers and do drop by again soon to see if you have won the card candy.  I will also be checking out the blogs of my new followers tomorrow - before I start my next marathon card - lol!!!   I may even look for another sketch to follow as I enjoyed it so much!

Big hugs to you all and either have a very good night's rest or have a lovely crafty day - depending on when you read this.  Am I waffling - yes I am!
