Hello there friends and fellow bloggers I apologise for not blogging more often but, as I have waffled on before, I am not a 'quick' card maker and it takes me ages to decide what I am going to do - even when I am given a digi to work with!! I just cannot make a card every day and I remember someone said that this is supposed to be enjoyable and not stressful!
Anyhow as I know this has been received, I can now post it on here. I realised from Sue J's blog that it was her hubby's birthday this week so, doing my Sherlock bit, I found out that it was today and I quickly (well for me) made a card because he has reached the magic big 60!! Mind you I only whispered it on his card with two very small numbers on the golf balls! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL!!
I am hoping Paul liked this one - it is only a little bit cheeky and the image is nothing like him (which I explained on the inside front cover- lol). I know nothing about golf of course so I don't have a clue as to what the sentiment really means, but I do know that he does.
Ingredients
7" x 7" White Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
Playing Through Stamps (image and sentiment) - Creative Expressions
Rounded Corner Rectangle dies - Spellbinders
Marker Micro Font die - Die-versions
Blue & Green text. card - American Crafts (12" x 12")
Father Knows Best paper pad - LOTV
Golf Balls on Tees - free from t'internet
Flexmarkers
Hessian & Buttons - stash
I hope you like it as well, thank you for stopping by and (if you have had the time) thank you for any comments you may have made. I have had loads of really lovely comments on my cards recently and am so pleased that some of my little tales make you smile - I do believe in sharing!!! When I am well, I do see the funny side of loads of things and I can't help telling you all - even if I then start to waffle (eh Jenny??) lol.
I shall be orf now, so huge hugs to you all and take care.
SUE xxx

Heyyyyyyy me matey!!! LOL he absolutely loves his card Sue!!!! and although you remarked about the portly fellow on here Paul isn't really overweight but he does have a bit of a chocolate tummy hahahaha I don't understand golf either but according to hubster if you slice it, it goes right and if you hook it, it goes left lol which isn't good when you want it to go straight so your sentiment was fab, but he's over the moon with your card he really loves it and the one Ollie made him he said he is sooooo clever hahaha. and had I been giving him crafty lessons on the quiet :P Can't wait to see you both again..won't be long now!!!!!!! lots and lots of huggles from our house to yours xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sue

Oh this is fabulous Sue! I love it and I'm sure Paul did too. Golf is another language to me too - mind you, so are all sports except cycling! Lol! Your sentiment was obviously spot on!! Will drop you an email tonight. Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeletehahaha - very cute card, Sue! Love that image for sure, and the way you included "60" on Paul's card. He is a baby - my husband hit 70 a few months back. Sue, isn't it amazing how quickly the decades have passed? I remember during my 20s, when life was hectic, and the family was demanding. I sometimes would think "some day I'll look back on this and wish it had not flashed by so fast, but right now, I'm just bone tired and need a break". Do you ever recall memories like that?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the card for your Paul's happy day! hugs, de
