Good morning my lovely peeps and blogsters. I do hope you all had a great weekend and managed to get some time to craft. I have been crafting and ironing, not in that order! My fault entirely of course, I hadn't ironed for four weeks - disgustin' eh?? My back was hurting more than usual so I thought I would leave it (the ironing) for a while and then I had DT work to do soooo it just sat there festering - lol! Anyway I took the bull by the doodahs and started it on Friday - hip hip hooray! Just a smidge more to go - bet you are bored by now so I had better post my card before you all nod orf!!!
I will add the ingredients later because I was in a tidy mood when I was getting my dies together to make the diecuts and I popped them back into my folders before I noted which ones they were. Will I ever learn???
This card is for the Christmas Card Club, the lovely Asha set the theme this time and asked us all to make a card depicting our favourite Christmas song or Christmas Carol. I found this lovely image with the title already underneath so I thought "why not". I don't really have a favourite Carol 'cos I love them all and sing along whenever I can.

I coloured the image and then used white Coconut card for the diecuts. I used some Aspen Mist Versamagic Chalk ink on some of the edges etc to highlight the pieces.
Ingredients
7" x 7" Card Blank
Digi from my folder - unknown unfortunately
Die'Sire Regency Swirls Embossing Folder
Tattered Lace Square Die
Corners from Tattered Lace Square Die
Memory Box - Lindeman Snowflake
Spellbinders - Layered Poinsettia
Promarkers
Aspen Mist Versamagic Chalk Ink
Stardust Stickles - lots of!
I know my little Angels aren't actually singing because you can see them smiling - that's because they are between Carols - Hark the Herald Angels Sing is coming up next!!! lol.
I hope you like my Christmas Carol and are singing along - I know Christine H will be.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and checking out my creations - I love reading your comments, especially when you make me laugh. I will be back later to add the ingredients and I will also enter a few Challenges.
Big hugs to you all.
SUE

Hi Sue love your Christmas card! What a cute image although they look like they are up to no good to me! Send your ironing to me I actually like ironing! Susan x
ReplyDeleteHi Sue - this really is absolutely fabulous! Love those little angels and Susan above seems to have identifed some of our Playground playmates. I reckon the one in pink is holding something illicit behind her little pals backs :) The soft blue colours against the white are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh how I giggled about the ironing - I've been there and got the T shirt (unironed of course) to prove it! :)
Hugs, Di xx
Gorgeous card Sue. I love the sweet image, wonderful embossing and fabulous detailing

Like Margaret, when I am doing lots of Christmas card I have Christmas music playing and the wine and mince pies flowing - it's no wonder I don't get too many done at once! Hic!Love and hugs from Christine xx

ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful array of Cards, Miss Susie! One of the things I enjoy about your blog is your wit, then the artwork, which is NEVER the same thing - and always something new, exciting, a "new mix", different designs and elements. This is a darling little angel. I really like the mixture of items in your card below! AMAZING shading and wonderful details. hugs, de
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...this is gorgeous! The shimmery snowflakes look beautiful on that embossed cardstock.
ReplyDeleteLove the little angels but must admit I giggled when I read the bit where you said they are just about to sing!!!
I will keep Sue and you posted regarding the day to meet...should be able to email you both which date on the evening of the 15th. We arrive in Filey in the afternoon and will confirm with our cousin-in-law which date works best for her to have a break from me! She has to pop into her work so am waiting to see what day it is and will plan ours for that day!
