MY LITTLE TREASURE UNDER THE OCEAN

Hello there peeps!  I'm still here in the villa on me hols and it is a tad cloudy today so I thought I would post my other card for Lady Anne's "Stamp Anything Goes" Challenge. This challenge is being sponsored by Oak Pond Creations, the images are lurvely and it is open throughout June.  Once again I hope you find the time to enter the challenge!

You all know that I am not a "quick" card maker, it can take me ages to make a decision as to the backing papers alone!  However I made this one in an afternoon - tres vite pour moi!   I found the papers first and just had to use them because they felt "watery" to me.  Whilst sorting out my craftroom I found this silver mesh type material and popped some under my image - the image is called "Anchor under the Sea" from OPC.  I also found this little treasure chest on t'internet but it had 'things' in it which I didn't like so I went over the 'contents' with a Versamark pen and heat embossed it in glittery gold emb. powder.  I did leave the necklace where it was though.  I then glued some teeny tiny jewels and pearls on it - also popped some 'diamonds' onto the necklace.

The shells I picked up from places near, ie Cornwall and far, ie Bora Bora and the Maldives.  Even the diddy bottle has tiny shells in it!  Just goes to prove I enjoy myself once I am there! Lol.  I can't give any more information on the ingredients though 'cos, as mentioned in the last post, my book of knowledge is back in the UK.

This is a close-up  of the treasure chest which I altered.

Again I hope you have a go at this challenge, we love seeing your creations.

Thank you for stopping by my blog, I lurve your comments and you make me chuckle loads.  Oh by the way this post took me - and the hubster - 5 hours because I lost the pictures!  I had put them on a draft post back in the UK and we had to dig deep into our few grey cells to find out how to get them back!  Cor blimey he has the patience of a Saint - bless him!

Hugs to all of you and I hope you enjoy your weekend!

  11. Sue, so happy you are enjoying your holidays. Like you we are "home bodies" and prefer enjoying our abode here - but then, it is always nice to get away for a break, too! Your card is amazing. First, thank you for thinking outside the box with the treasure chest. It truly is BEAUTIFUL! Love the gold EP and all the jewels on top. The image is gorgeous! and the delightful sea shells and "netting" look beautiful. So what adhesive did you use for the shells? VERY PRETTY - no - it's BEAUTIFUL! I love ocean related cards. Enjoy your holidays. hugs, de
