Good afternoon everyone - there's another exciting challenge over on OSAAT this fortnight and our theme is 'Halloween'! I chose 'Silhouette Cats' from the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet to use on my card.
I had an idea in my head but it didn't turn out quite as I wanted it to. I made the background just before I was ?bitten by a critter out in the garden. A hugely swollen leg and fever followed and I finished my card feeling only 80% better. I do love the spooky feel I've created though! Believe me fussy cutting that minute witch out was a challenge on its own!
Ingredients
7" x 7" White Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
Digi - Silhouette Cats by Coosty Creations at the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
Tattered Lace Embossing Folder - Brickwork
Bats, Witch, Signs found on the internet - printed and then foiled via Minc machine
Pumpkin digi - Colouring pages on the internet
Distress Inks - Tim Holtz
Flexmarkers and Copics
I hope you can enter our challenge, I know that there are loads of you who celebrate Halloween nowadays and also make Halloween cards so why not let us see them - you could win a $10 voucher from the Stitchy Bear shop
Anyway take care and steer clear of nasty garden bugs! Oh and a little bit of further information on the new contact lenses - I found out (the day before I went back to the optician) that the reason the left one was blurred was because I had it on inside out - been wearing it like this for 5 days!!! I had one of those (rare) light bulb moments and thought "I wonder what would happen if I put the blurry one on inside out" so I did and whoa -- everything was sooooo clear! I am such a plank - methinks me life is going to be eventful with me new eyes!!!
Catch you all later big hugs to you all
Love Sue xxx

Hi Sue, what a fantastic card, I love the scene you've created with all the little images and such super colours too.
ReplyDeleteOh your bite sounds nasty, I hope it clears up soon. funny about the contact lens, now you know what happens when you put the lens in the other way around, take care, Kate x
Sue you do make me laugh...till sniggering about the contact lens, thought I was the only one who does things like that! Sorry to hear about your nast bite, sounds horrid- hope you feel completely better soon.
ReplyDeleteYour card is fabulous, very atmospheric...with the night sky and shadows across the moon and I can imagine how tricky it was to fussy cut that teeny witch!
Take care, keep well away from bugs!

How excited to have new eyes, Soupie!! Enjoy every moment now that you have things right side out! Your bewitching card is a sight to behold! I hope you did that difficult fussy cutting after you turned your eyes around, otherwise that would give you a blistering headache! It was worth it, in any case, she looks a treat sailing up there against the full moon!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better!
