Good afternoon fellow bloggers! Today I'm posting a card for our next challenge on the OSAAT blog. This fortnight the theme is Anything Goes - for a Man!!! I don't often start out with an idea in my head but I did with this one - I had a vision of an old map in shades of brown with some 'marine' type die cuts surrounding the image. Obviously it doesn't pay for me to get any bright ideas before hand 'cos I end up with a totally different card!
I thought this could be a card for someone going on an imaginary 'gap year'. I say imaginary 'cos I don't know anyone who is intending to do this! Mind you it would be nice.
Ingredients
7" x 7" Kraft Card - Anna Marie Designs
Digi - 'Lighthouse Turtle' by Craftygirl Creations at Stitchy Bears Digi Outlet
Wonky Rectangle die - Spellbinders Dies
Nautical Frame and Accents dies - Spellbinders Dies
Loopy Rings die - Memory Box Dies
Scalloped Rectangle die - Tonic Dies
Card, paper, twine - stash
Piece of gold mesh - very very ancient stash!
Spectrum Noir Markers
We would love to see your creations this fortnight - male cards are (allegedly) quite challenging to do, so the more you make the more practised you'll become! We are offering the following prize this month - not to be sneezed at eh???
I'll be off now, people to see, places to be .. oh and cards to make!!! Lots of huge hugs to you, together with a cuddle if you need one!

ReplyDeleteI have a friend who is always travelling so would love this. Very nautical and beautifully embellished.
I would say "avast behind" but seeing how much weight you've lost, maybe not lol!
Best wishes.

This is just awesome, Sue. LOVE the way you dressed up this boy-card...the anchors, bubbles, waves....amazing! I struggle with anything manly. Mr P is pining for his baby. As always he finds consolation is taking long long naps! :)

such a fabulous card for a "gap year" - maybe the person can simply travel a little at a time all year long in books and photos! Your card's collage elements look wonderful together, Sue - What a great idea! (love all the rolling waves, and the turtle's painted shell!). Hope you are doing well. Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog. love, de
