CCC(9) - KAREN P'S THEME - USE BLACK, WHITE AND ONE OTHER COLOUR

Well peeps - the blogger didn't schedule me post AGAIN!  This was supposed to post at 8.30am  - it's a good job I'm up early!!!

Good morning peeps - that is if the blog scheduler works, 'cos it didn't yesterday.  I hope you are all well and crafting as much as you'd like to.  I have been decorating supervising the decorating of the dining room, unfortunately I forgot to schedule my CCC card on my blog for Saturday.  This is so it doesn't clash with my DT card for One Stitch at a Time challenge.  This time Karen P chose our theme - make a Christmas card using Black and White plus one colour.  I chose green as my 'colour' and the only black I used was for the sentiment - which is actually dark grey 'cos me black ink is running out.  Ooops.

Graham had a lot of trouble getting the white to look white, especially because I had used white pearlescent card.  He said he tried loads of times to sort it and also to get the glitter to sparkle (it does sparkle if you get close enough to it!!!).  I do understand, and know that he isn't the only one to have problems.    To see the glitter, it's best to open this in a new tab and then do a close up - then it sparkles and twinkles!!!  This is an aperture card so he also took a picture from an angle to show the inside.

I found the sentiment on a site where there were free verses etc and thought it was just the one I wanted for this card.  I was going to make a card using a stamp of a Christmas village but I've put it somewhere safe!!!!  I hadn't a clue what colour to use with the black and white until I decided to use an ivy corner - light bulb moment - use green!!!  Here are the ingredients -

Ingredients

7" x 7" white card blank - Anna Marie Designs
Sentiment - T'internet Free Verses site
White pearly card - Crafters Companion
Green card - 12" x 12" AC Textured Cardstock
Adorning Squares die - Spellbinders
Ivy Corner (SD066) - Joanna Sheen Signature Dies*
Garden Sprig/Small Garden Sprig dies - Poppy Stamps
Snowflakes dies - Impression Obsession
Holiday Holly Emb. Folder - Die'sire Embossalicious
Glamour Dust - DecoArt

*  Apologies, I forgot to add this lovely die to my ingredients.

Apologies to my CCC friends for the delay in showing my card but I know you understand because I am usually a day early!  Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I hope you have enjoyed checking out my cards and if you have left a comment well good on yer!!!  I am grateful to you all.

Take good care of yourselves and I will be seeing you soon.

Big hugs to you all

  14. Oh.My.Goodness! What a splendidly beautiful card. I am so loving the pearly gleam on the card front. The S/B die showing through the window is a perfect accessory to show off the card front & your sentiment. The dark green was wonderful with the sparkling card front, and that is one gorgeous EF you used. Love that JSheen Ivy corner too. Simply gorgeous card, Sue. Well DONE! TFS & Hugs

  15. At first glance this card is a beauty, hands down, no argument. At second glance you know there will be a 3rd or 4th . I always open cards in a new tab. The staggered snowflakes and fern pieces are outstanding. The ivy die cut is so shiny and eye friendly. The green rocks and you did good!. Thank you for joining us this week at Word Art Wednesday. Abundant Blessings, Carole
