10th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CARD

Oh my word -  this has taken me sooooo long to do that I think they are going to be celebrating their 15th Wedding Anniversary when they receive this!  I actually finished it last night and have been ironing this morning whilst Graham did the pics.  I don't think I have ever taken so long to finish a card - I started it last - yes last - Friday.  I really must stop thinking soooo hard about my designs.   As I have said before, if I don't 'mull' them over (and procrastinate whilst doing so) my cards are so much quicker to do.

 

Although the flowers look peach and purple, they are in fact peach and two tone brown(ish).   I wanted to use peaches and browns with some green in there.  I used some of the same papers inside the card and a sentiment I found on the internet (freebie).  I deliberately left the inside quite 'clean' because I wanted the sentiment to be the main part of the inside.

 

 

Because of the floral embellishments on the front of the card I decided to make a box - I have templates and boards but I don't use them, I always make boxes by using my own measuring system.  Again I used the papers I had used for the card plus some die cuts and flowers to embellish the top.

 

 

The die cuts in the corners are all from one Di-Lites die but I felt it would be too much to use four so I placed one in the top right-hand corner and then cut the rest to an almost heart shape and placed them in the other three corners.
