OSAAT DT - CHALLENGE NO 244 - ANYTHING GOES WITH FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS

Good afternoon everyone and a very warm welcome to my two new followers Chris and Leslie - so glad you joined me!  Well, here I am with my next card for the OSAAT Challenge where our theme is Anything Goes with Four Legged Friends - my blog friend Christine H wants to see me walking my four legged friend on a lead!  :o)    I really would love to oblige - honest.

I recently bought some flowers from WOC and they gave me a little free gift in my parcel of some Hydrangea petals, they are so lovely that I sent for some other colours and I made the flowers for my card using these 'Two Tone' pink ones plus some silver stamens from Brenda's Lace and Ribbons.  I paper pieced the elephant to give him a different look and painted his toenails pink!

Our prize for August is as follows

Ingredients

6" x 6" white card blank
Image - Cute Smiling Elephant by Ken Benner at Stitchy Bears Digi Outlet
Pink Card - American Crafts Cardstock - Spring collection
Grey Paper - Sizzix paper pad
Floral Swirl Embossing Folder - Tattered Lace
Stately Circles die - Spellbinders
Swirl die - Shapeabilities Romantic Blooms One
Sentiment - Clear Stamp by Rachel Anne Miller at Crafters Companion
Small Flowers and Petals - WOC
Pearls and Silver Stamens - Brenda's Lace and Ribbon Specials (FB)

I hope you are going to enter our challenge this fortnight - we all have four legged friends of some kind or another - perhaps not elephants lol - but I do live on Planet Susie!

By the way, Winnie the Snitch may have a little bit of news for Big Winnie very shortly - if you haven't a clue what I'm waffling about check out my post here.

Keep well all of you, I'm sending you a big hug just in case you need one.

Lots of love and hugs

OSAAT CHALLENGE NO 243 - ANYTHING GOES WITH 'SWEET TREATS'!!!

Good afternoon everyone out there in blogland - here's my DT card for OSAAT where our theme this fortnight is Sweet Treats!  Mmmmmm I thought, when I was choosing my image, where am I going with this one - then I saw it and I had a lightbulb moment!  You all know we are both trying to lose weight but our treat is a glass of wine every Saturday and Sunday so this is a very sweet treat for us.   I also love grapes so two treats in one!
I used 'poiple poils' for the grapes and was really pleased with the result.

 Ingredients

7" x 7" Kraft card blank - Anna Marie Designs
Image - 'Wine Barrel' from My Heart Pieces at Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
Core'dinations Whitewash Collection card
Woodgrain Embossing Folder - Textures from Crafters Companion
Labels Forty Six - Spellbinders Dies
Tulip Starlight Flourish - Tattered Lace Dies
Leaves - Christmas Floral Set - Tattered Lace Dies
Jute Ribbon - WOC
Pearls - Stash

I'm actually quite pleased with how my card turned out - that doesn't happen too often for me 'cos I'm totally critical of my work and can usually see something I want to change!

Now, having seen our latest challenge, I hope you will enter your creations - you can pick any sweet treat whatsoever - there must be loooooads of them about.  We are offering the following digi and paper pack as a prize so, again, you have nothing to lose.

How are the summer holidays going for all of you - hope the younger ones are finding loads to do - they might even be learning to craft.

That's all from me for now, take good care of yourselves - we have sunshine here at the moment but it's not toooo hot (yay) and if it's the same for you, long may it last.

Big hugs to you all

CHRISTMAS CARDS ALL YEAR ROUND - AUGUST- SNOWFLAKES

Please don't forget to scroll down 'cos I've posted twice today ... again!!!  Thank you peeps!xxx

Hi there again - this is my second post today and it's for the CCAYR challenge.  I do love being on this DT because it means I start making my Christmas cards in January!  It really does help me because I have been known to procrastinate somewhat and I don't have any excuses now!    Our theme this month is Snowflakes so we want to see any creation you like as long as you put snowflakes on there!

I used die cuts, die cuts and more die cuts on my card and Winnie didn't have to snitch at all because I bought them ages ago!  Honest.  Will confess that I haven't used the curved border or the Let it Snow dies before though!  You may also notice that I've popped a few little 'diamonds' on the snowflakes - the maestro took the initial pics without the bling but I thought it was missing that 'je ne sais quoi' so out came the gems.

Ingredients

6" x 6" White card blank - Create and Craft (eons ago!!)
Blue and White textured card - American Cardstock 12" x 12"
Curved Borders 2 dies - Card Creator - Spellbinder Dies
'Let it Snow' die - Sue Wilson Festive Collection at Creative Expressions
Giovanna Snowflake die - Poppy Stamps Dies
Bristol Snowflake die - Memory Box Dies
Snowflake DIE100F - Impression Obsessions Dies
Snowflake DIE024X - Impression Obsessions Dies

I made another of my favourite 'flat' cards so it can be posted without costing an arm and a leg!   Well that's it for now, I'm just off to start my next card and time waits for no man (or woman!).

Lots of big hugs to you all, I hope you can find time to craft a little this week.  If you have left a comment today, I would just love to say a big thank you for doing so.

Love to you all  Sue xxx

CRAFTY TIME CHALLENGE - AUGUST - MOVIE, BOOK OR SONG!!

Good afternoon friends and bloggers - this is my DT post for Crafty Time Challenge where our theme is 'Movie, Book or Song'.   I chose this digi from Rick St Dennis 'cos she made me think of Shirley Bassey singing 'Hey Big Spender'!  Must admit I can picture Ms Bassey standing there singing away - my mother loved to watch her on the tv - I was more into The Animals, The Beach Boys and Guns 'n' Roses meself to name but three!

I coloured the image three times before I finally settled for blue and turquoise.  I used red and black first of all but I didn't have these hand made papers in red or black.  I then had a go with black and gold and she just looked like a wasp, blue and gold followed but the gold just didn't look right so I got the papers on my desk and when I saw them I thought of a peacock and that's when it came to me - blue and turquoise!  I was finally happy with this and used some 'old' dies to make the feathers.  I've glazed all the jewels she's wearing but you can't see them in this pic.

Ingredients

7" x 7" White card blank - Anna Marie Designs
Digi - 'Mame' from Rick St Dennis
Oval Layer Dies - Tattered Lace
Jewel Fantasies Dies - Spellbinders Shapeabilities
Handmade papers from my stash
Glitzy Glitter Cardstock Pad - DCWV
Gems - Create and Craft and Papermania
Graph'it Markers
Black Lace - Brenda's Lace and Ribbons on FB

I'd love to see your creation/s depicting either a Movie, Book or Song entered into our challenge.   We are being sponsored by Rick St Dennis and he is giving our prize winner 2 wonderful digis of their choice and you have a whole month before the challenge closes.

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my wafflings.  Take care and have a good week.  Big hugs to you all.

Love Sue xxx

THROUGH THE PURPLE HAZE - AUGUST - FLOWERS!

Please note - this is the first of two posts today - pleeeeeeease scroll down for my next DT card - thanks loooooads!

Hello out there in the blogosphere and a huge warm welcome to my new followers, I'm so pleased to see you here on my Planet!  Thank you so much for joining me in my own little world!

I was up early this morning 'cos I've been really busy just lately and last night was the first night I slept without having one of those 'busy/disturbing' dreams that cause you to wake up in the early hours.  Anyway I poddled off downstairs and the maestro was already in the garden building his wall - you may think he has had the time to build three houses in the time he's taken to build 'The Wall' but the weather has been atrocious, sooooo soggy and windy so it's definitely not his fault.   I'd everything planned for the morning in my mind - I was going to schedule/post several cards but as I appeared in the garden the maestro collared me and said "While you're out here (I was thinking 'I'm doomed!') he said could you just pick the runner beans and some courgettes".  Well an hour and several other jobs later I was back in me craft room wondering where the morning had gone!  Mind you it's our first crop of beans and I am looking forward to trying them.

After all of the waffling, I'm just posting my card for the TTPH Challenge and our theme is 'Flowers'!  We've been sponsored by Sweetpea Stamps this month and our winner will be receiving their images - they have some delicious digis to choose from as well!!

The pic was taken on one of those bad weather days and it's not as bright as it is in real life.  I've put some red streaks in her hair 'cos I thought they would go well with the poppies!!!

Ingredients

7" x 7" White Card blank - Anna Marie Designs
Digi - 'Field of Poppies' - Ching-Choo Kuik at Sweet Pea Stamps
Papers - 'Mariposa' from DCWV
Satin Mirri card - Create and Craft
Die-namics Dies - Pierced Rectangle Stax
CC Designs Dies - Olive Branch
Sentiment - Anna Marie Designs
Flexmarkers
Poppies and pearl sprays - Stash

There can't be many people out there who don't love flowers so I do hope you will be able to join us in our challenge this month.

It's our 46th Wedding Anniversary today so I really didn't mind playing in the garden with the maestro - honest.  You all know what he has to put up with - bless him!  And .... he bought me a lovely card .............  ooooooops!!!

Short and sweet - apart from the beginning!!  Please take care of yourselves and enjoy the rest of the weekend.  Pleeeeeeeeeeease let it stay sunny!

Hugs to you

Love Sue xxx

CRAFTY CALENDAR CHALLENGE - AUGUST - 'BINGO' CARD

Hi again everyone - my second post today and I want to show you my card for the Crafty Calendar Challenge where our theme is Anything Goes with 'Bingo' - if I have befuddled you ..... I'll explain!  Here's the grid below and we'd like you to choose any LINE you want to (either up/down, across or diagonal)

and if you are feeling really outrageous - use 'em all!

I chose Pink, Die cuts and Stitching for my card and I used a digi from That Craft Place, they are our sponsors for this month and are offering 3 digis to the winner of our challenge.

Just lurve her boots and thought they would look good Pink!

Ingredients

7" x 7" White card blank - Anna Marie Designs
Digi - Bikini Betty from 'That Craft Place'
Papers - Best of Brenda Walton 12" x 12" from Kay and Co
Papers - Stack No 6 12" x 12" from DCWV
Textured Linen Card - American Cardstock
Ornate Pierced Rectangles die - Sue Wilson at Creative Expressions
Triple Tear Nestabilities die - Spellbinders
Pippi Butterfly die - Memory Box
Graph'it Markers
Clear Varnish Lacquer (glaze) - Cosmic Shimmer
Sequins - Stash (from eons ago!!)

This is such a lovely challenge to go for because you can choose any line or every line to make up a great card for us to look at.   This challenge is now run by Jo L - who I like to refer to as J Lo! and Sue J who I like to refer to as Winnie  (after Winnie in Mrs Brown's Boys - this is a long story which I won't go in to!).

I'm now going to totally digress and show you a picture of Little Winnie aka 'Winnie the Snitch'.    My very good blog pal Sue J (Olliesmam) made this for my birthday and she popped a little message on her wrist telling me to sit her in my craft room so she could 'tell Big Winnie' when I bought more dies!!  I've searched her and found a camera in her hat and a microphone up her knicker leg! (only joking of course).   That Big Winnie is a devious tinker, but so far Little Winnie has been very good and not spilled the beans!  Needless to say Little Winnie is in pride of place on my desk watching and learning!

That's it for now - I'll be posting two more tomorrow so 'keep 'em peeled' as Shaw Taylor used to say.  I bet that's set some of you off again hasn't it??

We hope to see your creations on our Challenge during the month - come and join  us.

Hugs to you all and take care.

Love Sue xxx
