THROUGH THE PURPLE HAZE - CHALLENGE NO 98 - FLOWERS

Good morning everyone out there - here I am posting my next card for the TTPH challenge and this time we want you to use 'Flowers'!  Now as you can see from 'some' of my previous posts I just adore flowers so this was a very easy one for me to do .. and ..  I was given this absolutely amazingly beautiful digi to use.  Isn't she cute?

Check out the embossing on the side of my card - I found my chalks!!!  I usually use DI's but wanted a very soft look so, after a bit of a hunt around, I found my chalks - on the shelf where I'd stored them - duh!!  There's just a faint smidge on the flowers and a little more around the edge of the silver matted layer.  I made the three central flowers using 'hydrangea' petals from WOC (the stamens were in my stash from years ago).

Ingredients

7" x 7" white card blank - Anna Marie Designs
6" x 6" embossed card front from Craftwork Cards
Digi - Whimsical Rose Sprite from Aurora Wings
Pink Paper - Patterns of the Rainbow from Aspire
Decorative Labels Eight die - Spellbinders Dies
Olive Branch die - CC Designs Dies
Floral Vine die - Memory Box Dies
Dovecraft Decorative Chalks
Copic Markers
Flowers, and Hydrangea petals - WOC
Pearls, velvet ribbon and sentiment - Hobby House Crafts

We are really looking forward to seeing your creations  - our sponsor for this challenge is Aurora Wings and they are offering the prize this time.

Lots of big hugs to you all and take care.

CRAFTY CALENDAR - FEBRUARY - 'LOVE IS IN THE AIR'

Good afternoon peeps, here I am blogging and it's so miserable and wet out there it's enough to persuade me to hibernate!  I'm having lots of trouble trying to make cards or even get onto the 'puter just lately.  Apart from the system playing up - I've recently lost both printers off the laptop (thank goodness for the maestro 'cos he put it right for me!), I've just lost another follower (because of blogger) so I'm lookin' a right Billie No Mates!  If anyone thinks I've 'unfollowed' them, it's not true - please contact me to let me know and I'll re-follow just like I did for Mrs A.  Oh and Biscuit has decided to be a 'mummy's boy', he insists on lying across my desk - or across my chest if I let him.  He also likes sitting draped over my shoulders - and his favourite place to play with his toys is ... wait for it ...  in the bath (empty of course) - boy have we been adopted by one weird cat this time!

Inside my card ...

I do hope we see your creations very soon.

By the way - we are having a very busy week trawling around catteries - yup we've decided we're going on holiday and don't want to leave three terrors alone in the house - goodness knows what sort of things they'd get up to - orgies, parties, disco's, smoking catnip - oooh you name it!  So we've been out and found a lovely place and the 'rooms' are really big - of course we'd need to have one for each cat 'cos they never sleep in the same room - well they are divas of course.  Having said that, Donny is being left at home because he is so timid and frightened of his own shadow that it would be too stressful for him and our neighbour will take care of him for us.  Just got to sort out our insurance now - that's an hour or three on the 'phone because they need to know 'the in's and out's of Meg's backside' as my old uncle used to say - bless him.  They have to know all about my medical bits and bobs but we don't care as long as we are covered.  I had a week all planned out but we suddenly decided to do this so everything went haywire!  Oh well - just looking forward to that sun and if Scottie can beam me up and transport me without the aid of an aeroplane, I would be more than grateful.  Ooops just remembered - need to go to the Travel Agents now to book the holiday - duh!!!

Take care all of you - I hope you are keeping well and dry.

Hugs to you all.
