OSAAT DT CARD - CHALLENGE NO 208 - USE A DIGI

Good afternoon everyone out there - this week I had a paper pack to work with for my DT Challenge - these papers are really bright, cheerful and very yummy!  I loved the one with the Fairy Cakes on it (I am not a 'Cupcake' person, when I was a little girl they were Fairy Cakes and that's what they are now!!!!).   Can you tell I'm in a bit of a strop today, won't last I promise you - in fact I am now almost back to normal .... well normal for me anyway!

This is the card I made - you will have seen the little fairy image before on one of my cards, but the papers are new to my blog.  You can get this pack, called Birthday Surprise from Panda Bear at the Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet.  This particular paper is called 'So Sweet' - but they are all gorgeous.

The maestro did a close up of the Fairy Cakes because I printed the whole page and then printed the corner three more times.  I wanted to decoupage the cakes to make them stand out from the page.  The little hearts were then glossed once in position.
The theme for the Challenge this week is 'use a digi' and you can win the 7 images that the DT members used in Challenge 206.  Check out the One Stitch at a Time blog there are some gorgeous cards made by my teamies.    You may also notice that we have been joined by my blog pal Christine Harrop (Christine's Cards and Crafts).  This is her first DT so check out her creation - gorgeous methinks!!!

Just thought, whilst you are here, that I would let you know that Blossom escaped last night!   She was left downstairs and managed to open the door, I was reading in bed and Graham had just nodded off when there was a loud rumble followed by some very quick thudding noises then as the noise reached the doorway ... silence for a nano-second followed by a thump onto the bed as one very pleased, puffed up Blossom landed on the duvet sounding like a car engine.  The rumble was her running up the stairs, the quick thudding was her running along the landing and the silence for a nano-second was her launching herself from the doorway onto the bed.   The engine noise .... well that was her purring with her success!!!   Now imagine one of those Flamenco dancers in a pose, head up, proud............. well now imagine Blossom in that very same pose - she was as pleased as punch .... until the maestro (who had woken up thinking we had thunder overhead) took her back downstairs!   My, can that cat sulk or what!!!  We are still in bad books!

Oh well - que sera sera - and here is the pic of her sitting in the flower pot just before she lay down and overflowed - remember me overflowing on the bike seat in an earlier post - probably not a good thought!

Apologies for the reflection of the maestro in the kitchen window, he could have gone outside but she would have moved off there like the proverbial off a shovel.  She did come in later and had a bite to eat then went back out and curled up in there.  Anyway enough of the little minx, she's getting too much blog time - lol!!!

Thank you for stopping by, I do hope you like the card I made for the OSAAT Challenge, try and enter - you are all so talented.  Please leave me a comment if you can, even if it is to do with Modom!  If you have any advice on how to deal with her 'escapertise' - as long as they aren't cruel of course - I would probably be grateful lol!

Big hugs to you all out there, please take care of yourselves.

CCC(8) - ASHA'S THEME - CHRISTMAS LIGHTS (LANTERNS, LAMPS ETC)

Good morning everyone - well the weekend is here again and I do hope you are enjoying the weather (if it's sunny where you are that is!!).  This time it's Asha's choice for a Christmas theme and she asked us all to make a card depicting Christmas Lights, this could be tree lights, lamps, lanterns or candles - you know the sort of thing I mean.

Anyway this is the card I made and it looks as if I have really made the lamp stand out by enhancing the yellowy light but, in daylight, it's no where near as dark as this - honest!   In fact this is a topper from LOTV and I only added a 'touch' of yellow, plus some Stardust glitter and Glossy Accents.
I do love this Art Pad and I think I will be using  it a lot to make some flatter cards for posting.    It really was simple to make but I am quite pleased with the finished result.

Ingredients

7" x 7" White Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
Topper - LOTV Art Pad
Christmas Post paper pad - Craftwork Cards
Turtle Dove paper pad - Kaisercraft
Twig and Berry paper pad - Kaisercraft
Gold Mirri Card - Stash
Create a Flake Four die - Spellbinders
Merry Christmas die - Cheery Lynn Designs
'NEW' Stitched Rectangle Stax die - Lil'inker Designs (USA)

Graham was doing his four days at work last week and is hoping to carry on decorating the staircase next week.  We (the Royal 'We') have had to redecorate the lower part of the staircase and landing because Blossom didn't care for the paper and decided to remove it from the wall with her little needle sharp claws, strip by strip (grrrr)!   She did this at night when we were asleep, guess she missed the attention!   I've told her she's grounded for a month and she's not allowed to see her 'beau' Donny and all she did was flick her tail in my direction.  She knows I'll get fed up of her trampling over my desk and sitting on my cards quicker than she'll get fed up of being grounded!

Oh and from now on she is relegated to sleeping downstairs at night.

Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my blog - and thank you also for any comments you may leave.  Enjoy your weekend and hopefully you might have some time for crafting, although if the weather is nice it's lovely to be out and about.  Take care of yourselves and again, if you aren't feeling well I wish you a quick and full recovery.

Hugs to you all

BLING BIRTHDAY CARD FOR A SPECIAL BLOGGING PAL

Good morning blog friends and a particularly warm welcome to my new follower Kristie Goulet who popped over after spotting me commenting on Darnell Knauss' blog.  It's so nice when you find out how someone came to be following you isn't it?  Anyway this is a card I made for a lovely blog friend on a special birthday, one that I thought I'd already posted - but I can't find it on my blog anywhere!!  I know she likes butterflies and bling so I put both on this card for her.

This is the inside of the card and I had typed a few words on here which I wanted to keep personal so the maestro did his bit and blobbed them out for me, a proper pixi - whatever it is - job!
The image is a Whimsy Stamp called Sweet Blossom which I bought some time ago but hadn't used.  It's a great image and one I loved colouring, even though I didn't get her hair right, why is this so hit and miss with me???

Ingredients

7" x 7" White card blank - Anna Marie Designs
Sweet Blossom stamp - Whimsy Stamps
Premium Dyed Textured Cardstock - First Edition
Timeless Victorian pad - LOTV
Patterns of the Rainbow paper - Aspire
Pierced Circle Stax Dies - Die-namics
Doily (6003/1003) Die - Joy (Noor)
Flexmarkers and Sakura Clear Star
Ribbon - Create & Craft (old but not quite Alan and Barry era)
Butterflies - Stash (were white but I coloured them with Flexmarkers)
Flower gems - Stash

I actually followed a sketch for this one and then promptly forgot to write down where I got it from and, since I made the card back in January, there's Buckley's that I'll remember now lol!!!

I'm just off to find an image with some sort of Christmas light on it for the next CCC challenge.  This can be tree lights, candles, lamps or lanterns so that is the first decision I have to make - just hope I can do this on time - you know what I'm like making decisions on which paper etc. Duh!!!

Oh well, that's all from me for now peeps, thank you for stopping by and checking out my blog.  The hubster is at work four days next week so I will try to be a better blogger and get around all your blogs.

Take care all of you and thank you for any comments you may have left.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Big hugs to you all

OSAAT DT CARD - CHALLENGE NO 206 - ANYTHING GOES

Good morning everyone out there in blogland - today the weather here is bloomin' lovely!   The sun is shining brightly but there is a slight chill in the air - just as I like it.  I would be totally happy with this weather all year round, not too hot but very sunny!

Here is my card for the OSAAT challenge this week, I was given this digi and although I could have made an Easter card I spied a little drinkie in his hand and thought I could turn this into a Party Invite!

Challenge 206 is an 'Anything Goes' challenge this week and if you use an image from the Stitchy Bear Outlet you can win 7 images used by the DT.  Don't forget to check out the One Stitch at a Time blog (here), you can see all the cards that were made for this challenge.  I do hope you get some inspiration and join in.
As mentioned earlier,  I saw this as a Fancy Dress party invite and I thought of pink rabbits (loads of 'em on Planet Susie!).  I coloured him in with Flexmarkers and then chose the papers afterwards - something I rarely do nowadays 'cos it takes me ages to find the right combination.  This is a pad I bought some time ago and I really took a fancy to it, I could see it on my cupboard shelf and realised I had all the colours I needed - another one of me light bulb moments ladies!  There are some snippets (yay) of pink card in there as well, both for the wording and also the border.

Ingredients

7" x 7" White Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
Bunny Break digi image - Stitchy Stamps at Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
Patterned papers - Colorbok Paper Plus and Fruit Punch
Black card - Stash
Snippets of Pink card - Stash
Asian Accents Border - Spellbinders
Reverse Wonky Rectangles - Spellbinders
Deckled Mega Rectangles (Small - cut into fishtail) - Spellbinders
Flexmarkers
Cotton wool ball for tail - Make-up bag !!!!!

The cotton wool ball was in the bottom of my make-up bag - slightly mucky but I delved into the middle where it was clean!  I used a little Cosmic Shimmer glue, pulled the cotton wool fibres apart and plopped them onto the tail - voila!!!  There were some sticky out bits so I chopped them off with me scissors!

I hope you like this one, a tad bright maybe - but I feel it is right for an invitation to a Fancy Dress Party - not that I have ever been to one!

Thank you for the comments on yesterday's card - I am glad I have made some of you smile - regarding the bicycle seat and the G string, well me eyes are still watering at the thought.  Sue J said she was looking for some pliers to help me out, so not only are they watering they are now out on stalks!

Thank you for stopping by today, please try and enter the Challenge 'cos I love seeing your entries on there.  Enjoy the rest of your day and I will see you later.

Big hugs to you all - still unable to follow any new peeps but am still trying.

CCC(7) - LORRAINE L'S THEME - CUTE CHRISTMAS CARD

Well hello there girls and peeps - here I am with my 'early' card for the CCC.  I always post mine on Saturday 'cos I have to post my OSAAT DT card tomorrow and I hate having to post twice on one day - don't know why either!!!

Anyway the lovely Lorraine L chose this challenge and although she has since left our little band, her challenge lingers on!  She wanted us to make a 'Cute' Christmas card this time and here is my attempt with a lurvely House Mouse stamp.  These are such corkers and are a real pleasure to colour.  Thank you loads Lorraine 'cos I have really enjoyed making this card.

I used loads and loads of Glamour Dust on the Angel Corners and the Card Candi and it really does look more sparkly in daylight.  I made use of my Cricut machine to cut out the sentiment - Deck the Halls - (with boughs of holly ..... tra la la la la la la la la). Keep on singing girls!

Ingredients

7" x 7" White Card Blank - Anna Marie Designs
House Mouse Stamp 'Chin Up' - Stampendous
Picnic Plaid Embossing Folder - Die'Sire Embossalicious
Grand Oval Die (smallest oval) - Spellbinders
Holly leaves - Dee's Distinctively Wreath Builder Die (Won from the Snippet's Playground - yay)
Holly Twigs and Leaves - Spellbinders Die D'Lites
Holly Berries - Joanna Sheen Signature Dies
Angel Corner - Poppy Stamps Die
December 25 Cartridge - Cricut
Copics/ Flexmarkers and Promarkers
Stick n Spray
Decoart Crystal Glamour Dust
Card Candy - Craftwork Cards

That's all folks - for today that is - I am just off to sort Blossom out, she is sitting on a pot of crocus corms (thank goodness they have finished flowering).  Graham fed her to get her off the pot (plant pot not the other sort) and she wolfed it down and promptly returned to her pot in the sun, she is now curled up overhanging the edges.  A little like my bottom on a bicycle seat - whoa don't go there and I daren't tell you what would happen to a G string - if I had one!!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for leaving your comments on my last post - so glad you could see how happy we all were.

I hope you like my HM card, he is such a cutie, but he had better watch those prickles!  Please take care and enjoy this spring weather - DON'T FORGET TO PUT YOUR CLOCKS FORWARD TONIGHT!  See you soon girls.

Big hugs to you all

JUST A LITTLE PICCY FROM THE NEC BIRMINGHAM

Good evening peeps - and a very warm welcome to my new followers Mrs A and Ang, I am so pleased that you have joined me on my journey into Blogland!

Mind you I'm not very chuffed with Mr Blogland - don't know who else to blame really - I just can't follow any more of you at the moment as there seems to be an  epidemic of 'the computer says NO' whenever I try to follow anyone.  I am sure it will be fixed soon and I am keeping a list of peeps to follow as soon as it is sorted.

Anyway I am posting a pic of us all at the NEC last Friday - when I say all, the maestro was taking the pic so he's behind the lens.  Look at all that lurvely purple!!!

I have posted this as X-Large, I do hope it isn't too much for you to cope with.  Funnily enough I was on the end and Sue J said "come on Sue, stand here next to me" - I am such a trusting little soul - why didn't I stand on the back row???  This pic has made me giggle all over again, oh and in case you don't know (from left to right) there's Paul (Sue J's hubby), Christine (christinescardsandcrafts.blogspot.co.uk), Sue J (olliesmam.blogspot.co.uk), me and Ang -aka Mrs Duck (theducksdoodahs.blogspot.com)  We bought so much between us that we were getting special deals - not bad at all and we had a right laugh or titter (Mrs Duck) that I was aching like mad.  Well worth it though.

That's it for now, I shall be back later this week (hopefully) to post a little something else.

Big hugs to you all

OSAAT DT CARD - CHALLENGE NO 204 - USE A DIGI

Good morning friends and bloggers out there - and a HUUUUGE apology for not saying hello to my new follower, Samara, yesterday.  Thank you so much for following my blog, you are most welcome to join the merry throng.

Well today I am posting a card for the OSAAT DT.  The challenge over there for this week is USE A DIGI - can it get much easier!  I do hope that you can join in with us. To win the main prize of 7 digis you must use an image from the Stitchy Bear Outlet.  Please pop over to the blog here to check out the rest of the information!!!

I chose the image from Ike's Art because I loved the look of the cuckoo clock.  I think this card can be used for a man or a woman even though there are some flowers - well they are browny green in colour!!!  Let me know what you think won't you.

I am getting much better with decorating the insides of my cards at the same time, last year I kept leaving them blank then rushing around like a bluebottle (is anybody thinking of the Goon Show now - no?  well I am a tad old) to finish them off before they had to be posted!

Ingredients

7" x 7" white card - Anna Marie Designs
Cuckoo Clock digi - Ike's Art from Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
Foiled Paper - Kanban
Brown Card/Paper - Create and Craft
Gold card - bits and bobs (sorry Snippets) box
Corner punch - Carla Craft
Pierced Circle Stax die - Die-Namics
Fishtail Flags Layer Stax dies - Die-Namics
Little Leaf die set - Spellbinders Shapeabilities
Flowers - Forever Flowers
Card Candi - Craftwork Cards
Glossy Accents - Ranger

I shall pop this card into my 'basket' for use at some time in the future (lots of ex colleagues retiring this year).  I had my first request this week from one of my usual ex-colleagues for ...... yup Christmas cards, apparently he is going to make a list for loads of them plus birthday cards!  Well that's me havin' a panic already!

Oh well must be off now - I hope you have time to leave a comment again - two days' running!    Thank you for stopping by and having a quick look.  Take care of yourselves and I wish you some happy crafting - especially if hubby is watching sport on the TV!!!  Don't forget to join in over at the OSAAT challenge this week.

By the way, I am still singing the 'Ying Tong' song in my head - oh bother!!!!

Big hugs to you all
