LADY ANNE'S STAMP CHALLENGE NO 10 : BLUE (BUT NOT SAD) BUTTERFLIES

Hi there fellow blogsters, I do hope you are enjoying the warm weather - must admit I can't get used to seeing the yellow blob in the sky more than once in a week!  lol.

I have a second slightly late card to show you today and this is one I made for my other DT spot at Lady Anne's Stamp Anything Goes Challenge.  This image is by Floppy Latte - isn't that a great name????

I've never coloured a butterfly before so I thought I would keep it simple and use just three blue Copics.  I coloured two images and then fussy cut the second butterfly  to pop on the top of the card.  I was telling Graham how I was cutting it out and that it's aerials were really thin so I was being extra careful.  He looked at me in that special way they have - you know the one they all get when they think "What on earth is she on about?"  Anyway I just pointed the aerials out - it was then he said "Do you mean antennae?"   Ooops, mind you I did think it sounded a bit weird - but only a bit.  That was it then, it just set me off laughing - anyway an hour later I managed to stick the butterfly and it's aerials antennae to the card.

We have two sponsors for this month's Challenge - Floppy Latte and Rick St. Dennis.  The challenge runs until the beginning of August so do have a go because, as it is Stamp Anything Goes, the world is your lobster!!

Ingredients

8.25" x 5.75"  blank card
Papers from Create and Craft
Main image from "Floppy Latte's Digital Designs"
Spellbinders Gold Labels Four
Flowers and Leaves from WOC
Flowery beads (pearls and crystals)  on wire from stash
Copics and Promarkers

The lacy bit on the bottom of the card is part of the piece of paper!  I quite liked the look it gave and carefully cut it out from the piece of A4 - there were some flowers at the end so I chopped these orf!!!

I do hope you like my card and take part in this Challenge.  Thank you for leaving me any comments.  I know there are holidays and things to be taken at this time of year - ooooh I've just nipped back to Majorca for a second or three - so any time spent looking at my blog is especially appreciated.

Big hugs to you

LADY ANNE'S CHALLENGE 4 - THEME IS MONOCHROME.

Hello there my most favourite blogsters, welcome to my Planet!  I have an extra special welcome to my new followers - I reached 90 - yes 90 followers this weekend.  I am so totally chuffed that you think I am worth following, especially when you know I am totally barking.  I will do another Candy prize when I reach 100 followers.

This card is being posted a tad late (as is the next one I will be posting - oooops!).  This is purely because I was a little poorly (AGAIN) last week - I had to sit upright in bed to sleep, now that would have frightened any burglar!  Coo I am sick of being so young!  As if!!!!!!  Hate to think what I'll be like in me dotage!  lol.

The theme on Lady Anne's Challenge No 4 this month is Monochrome and we have been sponsored by 'Fred She Said Images' the prize being offered is a $10 gift voucher for their shop.  They have great images to choose from.  I chose this lovely little digi called "Smelling the Cherry Blossoms" and thought that I would colour her in various shades of brown.  This challenge runs through until 5 August, and I do hope you have the time to enter.

CCC - LORRAINE'S CHALLENGE "A CHRISTMAS SCENE"

Hello peeps out there - I am posting my card for the Christmas Card Club today, Lorraine chose this theme but can't post herself 'cos she is under the weather at the moment - I'm sending a virtual hug your way!   Isn't it a lovely theme - it is open to so many interpretations, which I just lurve.

This post is a tad full of piccies because I wanted you to see it from all sides. I first saw a TeePee card on my friend Suzie's blog and squirrelled the idea away at the back of my mind.  It is really 1.5 square cards glued together in a particular way.  Mine is 6" square and I think the following pics will be self-explanatory.  Oh and because there are soooo many pics, I have postponed the pics of me 'n' the hubster in Cornwall.  You will have to wait patiently Jenny and Sue J.

This is the 'front' of my card with the main Christmas Scene image on it.

The other two sides -

At a slightly different angle -

The next two pics show the card in it's flat state!  I used a small Velcro fastener to close the card, there are many different ways of making a fastener but there is so much heavy paper on this one, I wanted to make sure it stayed put!

You can't see the amount of glitter on the snowy plantpots or on the snowflakes but, believe me, I went a little bit berserk with my Star Dust.

This is the inside of the card

Ingredients

2.5  x 6" square blank cards
MME Signature Christmas heavyweight paper
Image from La Pashe - The Best of Just Inklined CD
First Edition Christmas Village heavyweight paper

Spellbinders Small Scalloped Circle (Large)
Spellbinders Fanciful Holiday
Spellbinders Snowflake Pendant 2012
Spellbinders Holiday Tree 2012
Spellbinders Create a Flake Four
Marianne Creatables Poinsettia
Memory Box Snowflake Ornament
Memory Box Floral Vine
Memory Box Snowflake Tree
IO Dies Snowflake
and a Cuddly Toy!!!

I love all of the above dies but never thought I would use so many on one card!  I do hope you like this one and have the time to leave a comment or two or even three.  Thank you for visiting my blog, I intend to catch up with your blogs very shortly.

Hugs to you all out there in blogland.

SHOW US YER TWINCHIES - SUMMER AT THE SEASIDE(1)

Well hello ladies and blog friends!  A very good evening to all my followers, you are all wonderful - especially my new followers, I do hope you know what waffles you are letting yourselves in for!  I have a qualification in waffling, rambling and warbling on and on and on!

NEWS FLASH - WAHEY HAPPY DANCE IN MOTION!

I might not have posted for a while, but I have been making cards for my DT Challenge blogs and they will be on my blog in July.  Talking of DT challenges I have some excellent news - I am now on the DT for One Stitch at a Time, they have weekly Challenges so I do hope to see you over there!  I really am pleased about this,  there have been some lovely Challenges on there!  Looking forward to their future posts.

Here I am today posting two little Twinchies, this lovely Challenge was closing ........ but Sylv has taken it over - yay!!!!!!   I know my entries have been left a little late but it is open until 30th June so you still have time to do a little 'Summer at the Seaside' Twinchie.    Please help keep this challenge going, it is lovely and it would be such a shame if it closes down.  You can find them here - http://twinchie-twinchiehotmaillive.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/its-big-hello-from-me-show-us-your.html

Here is my first entry -

I saw the two surfboards and thought of the time Graham and I went to Perranporth in Cornwall on his Lambretta - yup we were Mods - stop guffawing Sue (Ollie's Mam)!  Anyway he tried his hand at surfing, wearing all the gear of course, but the pic I have of him in his wet-suit makes him look like a tadpole on stilts - lol!!!  Bless him 6' 3" and 12 stone of muscle - well knots in cotton.  Coo I can still see him now.  His scooter did have about 40 mirrors on it at one point but they were pinched when we parked in a cinema car-park - boo hoo!   I'm not sure whether to post two pics of us in Cornwall outside the caravan we had hired.  Let me know what you think - if you are in favour I will post the pics for you to chuckle at.

Anyway I will close this and do a separate post for my next Twinchie - no waffles though, just a Twinchie - well perhaps a little waffle (Jenny L is catching up on the waffle stakes)!!!

Hugs to you and thank you for any comments you might like to leave on my blog.

SHOW US YER TWINCHIES - SUMMER AT THE SEASIDE (2)

Hello again mes amies!  Here is my second Twinchie entry, this one makes me think of a holiday we had at Ingoldmells when I was about 6 and my sister was 2 (bro was only a twinkle in his dad's eye!!)  I can see meself on the beach in me green cozzie - can you remember those elasticated ones, where the elastic ran both upwards and across in squares and I looked like a little green blackberry!  Picture it please!  I can still see the plaster on me heel where me new sandals had rubbed.   Aaahhh those were the days.

Sorry I said there might be a little waffle - oops

Second Twinchie coming up!  This is the site - http://twinchie-twinchiehotmaillive.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/its-big-hello-from-me-show-us-your.html

I'll be orf now 'cos I need to wash my hair and have a shower.  Well a girl has to keep up appearances!

Hugs to all of you out there.

Have a lovely weekend and I hope you will be crafting.

BAUBLES FOR THE CHRISTMAS CARD CLUB!

Good afternoon blog peeps!  I would like to wish my new followers a huge hello and welcome to my wafflings and warblings!  Thank you so much for following my blog, I do hope you enjoy reading wot I have writ - I may not always make sense to you - but I do make sense in my head!  lol!!!

Well here is the first card I have made as a member of the Christmas Card Club.   Kerry chose 'Baubles' as the theme this time, even though I have only used one!

I used Spellbinders Nestabilities for the bauble and then cut a snowflake and two stars out of the shape itself.  I popped the snowflake, which I shaded in light blue chalk ink, underneath the bauble then used 3mm foam pads to give the bauble some dimension.  I had found some embossed and glittered card blanks in my stash and chopped one in half.  These are quite pretty but I like bigger cards so I layered this onto a 7.5" square card.  Edit:  to those eagle eyed bloggers out there I had a senior mo and this card is no more 7.5" square than I am!!!  It is, in fact 5.75" x 8.25"!!  Just send me back to Majorca!"  I put everything together and added a Christmassy sentiment.  I added a few 'poils'  (pearls lol) to the front and then my trusty sidekick and photographer took the piccies for me.

Because this is me, I decided I wasn't too sure about the lilac sparkly ribbon - although Graham said it was just right (bless him).  I changed the ribbon to pale blue so that it complimented the light blue card layer and light blue chalk ink.  I'm still not sure so I have posted both cards to see what you think.

Hope you like it - one down, three million to go - as they say!!!

The piccies don't really show the fact that the snowflake is underneath the bauble as are the pearls in the middle of the stars.  I probably should have had a piccy taken from the side but David Bailey - sorry, my hubster - is busy watching something to do with motorbike racing so I won't disturb him!  You see I can be soooo considerate.

I will check out some challenges and may enter this one - then again I might forget if I digress!

Hugs to you all and thank you for checking out my blog.  I hope you have time to leave a word or three but there is no pressure at all.

I am just editing this to add my card to a few Challenges -

HE'S H-A-P-P-Y!!!

Hi there  blog friends - it's me here still on me jollies!  This card makes me laugh 'cos it looks quite miserable.  A few months ago a friend from work asked if I had a card that he could buy for a friend.  Graham took several in for him to choose from and, as they lay on the desk, some of the other peeps asked if they could also buy them.  Must admit I was chuffed to bits!  One of the girls bought my cheery little bumblebee girl and when she showed it her boss he said he thought it was too twee!  She told him he was always too serious and hubby (bless him) said "We can do serious!"  Coo don't you just lurve the Royal 'we'!   Anyway 'the boss' birthday is next month so I've made a miserable card for him.

My friend sent me an image to colour - not sure where she bought it from - but I thought I would use 47 shades of grey plus a neon yellow, neon orange and red (for the tie).  I do remember that some of these papers are from First Edition but everything else is in my little book back in the UK.

I have given him a happy little song to sing!  I hope you like it - just a little - 'cos it did make me smile!    I would again like to thank you for stopping by and  if you have the time to leave a comment then you are a star indeed.  I am going back to the UK on Friday so I will be catching up with you asap.

Big hugs to you all.
